The crowd was roaring, it was a particularly good one tonight Chris thought as he stood and waved to the thousands of eager faces that had made their way to Dublin for the last performance of the tour.
He smiled to himself thinking of tonight's events and turned to face the boy who had caused this happiness. To his horror he saw the last thing he wanted to see, Darren lovingly planting a kiss on Lea's head.

His heart sank instantly.
"Leave it to her to channel her inner Rachel Berry," Chris thought to himself as he took off the ridiculously tacky blue Glee jacket.

Chris walked outside the arena, away from the screaming fans and towards the cars that would be driving them to their hotel.
To his dismay the only car left already had aother passenger, Darren.
He climbed inside and Darren greeted him with that same dorky smile.
"We were amazing tonight weren't we?" Darren grinned.
"We sure gave the fans what they wanted," Chris said with a weak laugh.
Chris Colfer's smile, his laugh, his wit and his sarcasm had always been able to get him out of most awkward situations in his life. But when it came to Darren for some reason, he was an open book.
"What's wrong?" Darren asked almost instantly.
"Nothing, I'm just exhausted," he replied as he reached into his bag for a diet Coke.
He took a cool sip and went back into his thoughts.
"You and your diet Coke." Darren said quietly with the most adorable chuckle Chris had ever heard in his life.
"Mhm," Chris dimly replied as he took another sip.
"Chris…. I didn't overstep my boundaries kissing you today, did I?"
"Don't be ridiculous, we've kissed before Darren and we'll probably kiss again."
They pulled up to the hotel and he turned to Darren and gave him the weakest of smiles.
Darren smiled back and patted him on the back, "You did good today, Buddy."
With that Chris nearly ran out of the car, choking back tears.

He couldn't pretend anymore.
He couldn't continue lying to himself.
He couldn't keep hurting.
He was in love with Darren Criss.
He needed him.
It had only been a couple of months but Chris had never felt like this about any other human being.
Their duets, their portrayal of romance, the flirting, the kisses… they all had to mean something, right?
The way Darren looked at him sometimes; you couldn't fake that, could you?

Chris swallowed deeply, wiped away any evidence of tears and held his head high as he approached the elevator.
The large doors opened as he stepped inside and pressed the button for his floor.
He looked outside and saw Darren finally making his way into the building. As the doors were closing he glimpsed Lea running up to Darren and embracing him in an exaggerated hug as if almost to show him off.
She led him off to the bar where the rest of the cast would most likely be.
As soon as the elevator started to move he couldn't contain himself anymore.
Those beautiful eyes of his swelled nearly twice their size as tears began to fall down his face.
"This is what heartbreak feels like."
He was indeed in pain; it instantly became difficult for him to breathe.
He made his way to his room and tried hopelessly to gain control of himself.. He opened the door and walked towards the bed and began to undress himself.
He tucked himself into bed, reached for his headphones and went straight to the most played song on his playlists.
He tried to scream, he tried to yell. He tried to find a way to let out this pain.
But alas nothing but the tears from his face escaped his body.
"All the games you played, the promises you made. Couldn't finish what you started only darkness still remains."
