Title: Regrets
Summery: He regrets what he did, and what he didn't do, and what he never could.
Warning: Spoilers for CoE, and implied Character Death.
Enjoy.
He regrets the fact that he could never hold on tight enough, he regrets that he is too afraid to.
He regrets letting others put themselves in harm's way, he regrets how his team has to die while he lives.
He regrets letting go of Grey, he regrets that he didn't look hard enough.
He regrets conning everyone he thought he could, he regrets almost killing everyone.
He regrets almost killing John Hart, he regrets hating him without even asking why.
He regrets all the drunken flings while he was, what ever he was, with Ianto, he regrets that none of the whispered words where ever "I Love You."
He regrets waking up next to a cold body, he regrets waking up at all.
But as Captain Jack Harkness sat in the bar, on some planet whose name he couldn't remember, he thought back on his unnaturally long life. He didn't even wince as the amber liquid burned down his throat, he no longer felt it.
He held his head down as it was refilled again and again and again. No matter how much he drank, he couldn't forget, he only remembered more and more. Pictures became clearer and clearer, pain just felt harsher and harsher.
So instead, he regretted.
He regretted meeting the Doctor, he regretted meeting Rose.
He regretted dying, he regretted Rose bringing him to life.
And he wished, he wished he had died in that room with Ianto, died for good.
A/N: Sorry if it's a little sad, maybe a little out of character, but please review anyway.
