Ciel had accepted his death long ago. The very day he signed his soul over to Sebastian, he was patiently awaiting it.

But he wasn't expecting to go so suddenly. Not without his revenge. Not with his soul still intact.

And as he lay, bleeding his life out in some disgusting alleyway, it all seemed to be nothing more the a cruel twist of fate. And as he watched each and every mistake he had ever made flash before his eyes, he realized just how small, and unimportant his life truly was.

Drifting in some strange halfway point between life and death, he struggled to keep his eyes focused on the demon kneeling over him, who was desperately trying to keep his faltering heart going, to do anything to keep his master with him.

Ciel could vaguely make out what his butler was saying. Everything sounded as if he was underwater. He could hear the panic in Sebastian's voice. The fear and the desperation and the despairing anguish all seemed cut through the icy waters of his fading consciousness, holding him in time, aiding him in his useless struggle against death.

Ciel's weakened heart began to stall and give out, even as the butler desperately pumped his chest. A blissful numbness had begun to spread through his body, easing the pain and making him feel seemingly weightless.

His vision started to blur and fade into black. The last thing he ever saw was his butler's agonized eyes.

"Please..."

the small, broken voice of his butler was the last thing her ever heard.

Everything was gone. He let out a long, final sigh before oblivion finally swept him away.

What's wrong with me? Why do I just love killing main characters? xD I really don't know and I honestly don't care. I was reading through the site and stumbled across some really great fics. That, coupled with the music I was listening too, (three days grace, my chemical romance, and maybe a little bit of black veil brides) and we get this; a depressing drabble. Yeah, yeah, I know I already have a ciel deathfic on here, but that was mainly centered around Sebastian's coping with the death, not the death itself.

By free interpretation for Sebaciel, I mean that this story wasn't meant to have Sebaciel in it, but you can imagine it that way if you want.
