Amu sighed as she sat down in her room doing her calculus homework. She already finished her economics homework, and now all she had left was her calculus and her history. Talk about saving the worst for last right? With the way she was getting through her calculus, she honestly thought that it might—just might—break her calculator with how upset she was getting.

"Amu, honey. Can you do me a favor and go to the store?" Her mother called, causing Amu to look at the clock. It's 7 P.M mom… What do you possibly need this late? She thought as she got up and walked downstairs.

"Alright, what do you need mother?" She asked as she pushed some of her pink bangs out of her amber eyes. Just as she spoke, her mother handed her a list and Amu nodded to her. "Alright, depending on if they have it at the store or not I'll only be about thirty minutes. Love you." With that she walked out of her house and made her way to the store by foot.

The night was dark except for street lights lighting up her path. The streets were bare of people and trash while the houses lights were off. That was surprising to her because it wasn't that late, until she remembered that the majority of 'kids' that were in her neighborhood were around the age of seven or six. At least they could sleep peacefully, without having to stay up late for calculus.

That made her smile and roll her eyes. Look at her, jealous of little kids who don't have much homework, and their homework is easy. Rolling her eyes at herself, she walked into the store and looked down at her list. Sighing, she went on her adventure though the store.

She walked up to the cashier after she got everything her mother wanted. The cashier rung up her items and they exchanged small talk about the weather for the rest of the week. Paying, she walked out with her bags and started to walk home.

The air was muskier than usual and she felt a little watched, but who wouldn't this late at night? That just made her shrug it off and she walked under the streetlight. Pausing, she thought she saw someone in the shadows, but shrugged it off and pulled out her phone to check the time, but she never got the chance to look at it.

The next thing she knew, she was grabbed and pulled back, causing her shopping bags to fall onto the ground and spill.

"Well, well, well. Looks like we caught ourselves a nice one." A man to the left of her said as tears stung her eyes.

"Nice and matured." Her captive cooed.

The next thing that happened she could barely remember because it happened so fast. The man to her left was flung across the street by a dark figure. Her captive's grip suddenly released and she ran to her bags.

They were gone. Every sign they were there, had vanished. No bodies, alive or dead.

The only thing that was there, was an apple directly under the street light.
