A/N: Slight changes to the end of "117". Still featuring young!Derek. Might be 50/50 on keeping with the plot line of season 4 and making it AU as I go…

Derek walks with Kate into the Vault. Kate is looking for the Triskelion disc, yet he doesn't know what she needs it for. It is used to control the shift, it's useless to a Hunter.

"This is it," Kate said as she picks up the disc out of its box. "You're sure?"

"Yeah." He replies, still confused. Kate frowns at him as she studies the disc.

"It doesn't look like much." She says pointedly.

"That's because it isn't." Comes a voice from behind them. A figure walks down the stairs and enters the vault. He is familiar to Derek but unfamiliar at the same time.

"It's quite the elaborate scheme you have here Kate." The mysterious stranger admits. "Countries, Aztec temples, Derek returned to a teenager." Derek looks between the two, trying to figure out the connection. "One that trusted you. One that loved you."

The stranger walks farther into the room and looks at Derek as he continues. "All this complication just to gain access to our vault." The pieces are starting to fit together for Derek. He knows that man.

"All to get your hands on that little piece of junk. Turn it over, go ahead. There's a little scratch on the back where it used to say 'Made in China'." He finishes.

"You're lying." Kate injects.

"I admit, I have a tendency to exaggerate things, but in this case the truth is so much more fun." He taunts her. "Oh I'm sorry sweetheart. That little pendent is just a physical object to focus on. It's training wheels. I tried to use it to teach Derek."

Before Derek can really process what he said, they hear a gut wrenching scream from above.

"Is it real? Tell me if this is real?" Kate screams at Derek.

"Didn't you hear that? That was Stiles. I just heard Stiles." Derek exclaims.

"TELL ME!" Kate yells.

"I don't know and I don't care." Derek takes off up the stairs to help his friend.

Derek is already running toward the sound of fighting when he catches Stiles' scent. And the scent of metal? Derek rounds the corner to find Scott and two girls sprawled out defenseless.

Derek doesn't think before he attacks. Instinctively he knows his friends are in danger. He just reacts. He goes after the creature closest to him, using his strength and claws to tear at its bone covered armor.

It's not working. Now he is fighting two of them. It doesn't matter how many kicks or punches he gets in, they are stronger than him.

Every time they hit him, memories flash before his eyes. Almost too fast for him to recount but they are his memories.

Stiles in the woods. Stiles talking to him in the police car. Him asking Stiles to cut his arm off. Stiles holding in the pool. Stiles paralyzed next to him. Stiles taken by Gerard Argent. Stiles hitting the twins with a wooden bat. Stiles taken over by the Nogitsune. Stiles in his dream with six fingers. HIS STILES.

Derek is himself again. He remembers everything. He can feel himself returning back to normal.

He jumps over the creatures, placing himself between them and his pack, ready to defend them. But they just leave.

Derek can hear the other's standing up behind him.

"Derek?" Scott asks warily.

Derek slowly turns around to face him and at the same time Stiles comes running up the stairs with his bat raised above his head. Their eyes meet.

"Derek!" Stiles shouts exuberantly.

"Stiles." Derek replies.
