Hey, Lily here. I was kind of bored so I wrote this quick note thing. It's 2:40 in the morning and I can't sleep so just writing this for fun. This is the reason why the gang calls Hiei, 'Octopus'. It's a nickname me and my best friend made for him. It sounds so cute ne? My little octopus~~~^^

"Hey Hiei, what are you eating?"
Hiei pulled the plate close to him, glaring slightly at the Detective. Yusuke stared at the demon, confused at his reaction. Kurama merely laughed at the possessive gesture.
"I just wanted to know what kind of sushi you're eating, it's not like I'm gonna steal it…" Yusuke mumbled.
The team was in a sushi restaurant, having a dinner to celebrate a grand victory. Kuwabara was eating up almost everything around the place, and everyone ate normally, but Hiei seemed a little protective over his plate.
"Sorry Yusuke," Kurama tried to suppress his amused smile, "He really loves his sushi."
"Shut up." Hiei growled, secretly eating his sushi, "Don't talk fox."
"Hey Hiei, what sushi are you eating?" Kuwabara asked curiously, and Yusuke smirked at the demon, who merely stared at them angrily.
"None of your-"
"Octopus," Kurama cut in, "He loves octopus sushi."
Yusuke's smile widened as he watched the hissing demon, "Octopus. How… cute…"
"Don't say that." The demon growled lowly, silently cursing Kurama for blurting it out.
"Octopus? Hey, that's a great nickname!" Kuwabara laughed, "It suits you: slimy, ugly, disgusting…"
He was cut off by the vicious glare the fire demon gave him.
The idea sunk in slowly.
"Hey, Kuwa, that's a damn brilliant plan! Octopus it is!"
Hiei looked at them, horrified by the thought. He stared at Kurama, almost pleadingly.
The fox stared back, a charming smirk playing on his lips, "What's wrong, little octopus?"
And the name stuck, to Hiei's horror…
