A/N:Hopefully I won't go long with this author note but apologizes if I do. Welcome to this project that's been in progress since 2011-2012. Yes, it's been long but college let me little time to work on this. But I loved working with my characters for this and didn't want it to just die. So now with some rewrites to some of the earlier chapters and fleshing out characters I want to try and start getting back into working on this.

Static started really soon after I got into the Pretty Cure series, after going through some ideas of other ideas for a plot and throwing them away (One I remembering being a season theme but I took it out because Season's Touch was a thing back then.) As you can see a lot of this series has some heavy influences to the original Futari wa seasons and I'd like to keep it like that. From one of the main characters liking sports to two of the cures having to transform when they are together, you'll see a lot of those call backs here. Seeing all the fanseries also kept me going on this!

As usual if there's any critiques you have feel free to give them! If something looks wrong in typing let me know and I'll fix it asap. The other big disclaimer is I am not an expert on disabilities, the big one in this case is being deaf. I've tried doing some research as much as I can but beyond that I have almost nothing else to go on. So hopefully I'm representing it decent enough here through Uta. If not, the same thing applies and feel free to critique.

The first two chapters might still be a little rough. I tried updating them as much as I can but I think any old style I may have had might still stick around. However, they are much better and fleshed out I feel like. Especially fixing some problems like anything that I assumed Uta magically heard or especially fixing a flash back for the second chapter.

I'm hoping to keep this fic on an update every other Saturday schedule. If that changes though, I will make sure to note that.

April 16th. Dendou Town, Japan.

Trying to recover from her loss of breath from practice, a brunette walked over to her bag and quickly took out a water bottle and gulped it partially down. Another girl, with medium black hair, came up behind her and patted her on the back. "Good job today, Milo. I knew practicing over Spring Break was a good idea. Right?"

The brunette's blue eyes looked to her friend before she smiled and replied herself, "Totally Teiko! Anyways, I've been itching to practice all break so this was a blessing. You do not know how bored I was just sitting at home with not much to do."

Teiko giggled back as the two walked into the locker room. Once reaching her locker, Milo pulled her long, brown hair out of its ponytail. She quickly switched out of her practice clothes into her normal ensemble: An orange shirt with long red sleeves and a red skort. Once she made sure her clothes laid nice to her liking and she put her practice uniform and her water bottle in her bag, she slung the bag over her shoulder and looked to the various teammates changing themselves. "I'll see you girls tomorrow, okay?"

With various chirps of "See you tomorrow Milo!" and "Be careful," Milo smiled and waved to them as she left the locker room and ultimately the school. Her eyes immediately went up to the sky as she closed the door to the school building. They were called in early for practice, so of course she didn't get the chance to enjoy the weather. It was still as clear as it was earlier and the decent weather was a bonus.

There was a children's park nearby. Sure, maybe she was starting to get too old for it. It didn't matter what they said about her though. Sometimes it was peaceful and quiet. A place for Milo to think to herself. Or at least grab her basketball to shoot some hoops or her tennis racket and practice hitting the ball against the wall. Other times there were children younger than her enjoying the park. She really enjoyed getting to know them, talk to them, and even play with them. And they seemed to enjoy her too.

As soon as she reached the park, she sat her bag on the ground and laid her head on it. "Though...I'm not too excited about school starting tomorrow." Milo turned her body around so that she was laying on her stomach and buried her head into her arms. "Just what I needed. I wish that Spring Break would last longer. I'm dreading all the homework. I just want to run around and play some sports. Especially basketball."

Milo Arsuhi. A fourteen-year-old girl who was entering her third year of Middle School as of tomorrow. A girl whose height rang in at six-feet-one-inch. Someone who knew which side she swung for in romance. A person who loved to play every sport she could but on the other hand was horrible at school. No matter the sport, usually she could play it or learn quickly. This did pose a problem to her as clubs would approach her to have her help their team. Of course Milo couldn't find it in her to say no. This left her with a busy schedule to her dismay but everything seemed to work out in the end. But no matter what happened it was basketball that was always her favorite.

Milo rolled back onto her back and stared at the sky. A soft breeze blew against her, making the grass sway in its rhythm.

"Ita!" Fumiko Kuno called as she saw her daughter trying to leave out of the corner of her eye as she was working on unpacking things in their kitchen. "Ita Kuno! Where are you going!?"

Ita's long, light brown hair was tied by a ribbon at the back of her head. She opted for a simple ensemble, a blue t-shirt and brown pants. Her purple eyes glanced at her mother. "I'll be right back mom. I'm just getting uniforms and supplies for Uta and me." With that, Ita left the house.

Fumiko just chuckled and shook her head at her daughter. With the kitchen finished for now, she decided to move onto the living room. She unpacked another box before looking at her daughter laying on the couch.

Uta Kuno was a five-foot-three-inch girl who was currently fourteen years old, the same age as her sister Ita. Her light brown hair fell over her back, with a bit tied into a side ponytail held by a green ribbon. Her ensemble consisted of a green shirt that reached her thighs and a basic pair of jeans. Uta loved to read, which is why as she laid on the couch she had a thick book in her hands. Her orchid eyes flitted to her mother as she approached her.

Using sign language, Fumiko started to tell her daughter, [Uta, you should go outside. We're in a new neighborhood. Take this time to meet some classmates before you start classes tomorrow.]

Putting down her book so that she could sign back, Uta replied, [But I just got into this really good book. Also, shouldn't I wait for Ita to get back? It would be easier with her since I'm sure no one here can sign.]

[Enjoy your youth! I'm sure you'll be fine! If anything, just find some paper if needed. Please? At least go out and get some fresh air.]

With a sign, Uta gave in to her mom. [Fine. I'll be careful.] She got off the couch and hugged her mom before walking to put on her shoes and leave herself.

Fumiko just kept smiling as her daughter left.

A certain familiar ringing sound filled the air. Milo perked up and listened for a moment to make sure. The jingling sound was still there which meant she wasn't dreaming. Milo got up and start running towards the sound. She finally remembered her bag, ran back to grab it, and continued her path as she screamed out, "ICE CREAM!"

Running as fast as she could down the street, Milo could see the ice cream truck in her sights. She licked her lips, tasting the ice cream already in her mouth. That was when she noticed Uta somehow got in front of her when she was in her daydream. Milo couldn't stop running in time to prevent the oncoming collision and knocked both of the girls down.

"Ow…" Milo rubbed her head a bit to try and soothe the pain before continuing to tell the girl, "Oops...I'm sorry. Are you okay, miss?"

Milo waited for a minute for an answer. But she got none. When she opened her eyes, she looked at the girl she accidently knocked down who was still there. Uta looked just as confused as Milo did.

(OPENING: Let's Spark the World! Pretty Cure Static by Mayu Kudou

Milo and Uta both bound down the stairs and run into Tanya, accidently knocking all three down. They all chuckle.

TITLE CARD: "Share the Orb! Cure Positive and Cure Negative Join the Fray")

"Hello?" Milo asked Uta. The girl didn't seem to hear her. Waving her hand in front of the green clad girl's face, confusing her even further, she asked again, "Are you okay?"

Without any warning, Uta started to use sign language. She didn't notice that she was doing so in front of someone who may not know any sign language at all. But she kept going. She felt startled, confused. She kept going just on instinct.

Cocking her head, Milo just asked, "Huh?"

"She said she is fine."

Milo looked to the new voice, to which Uta followed just by the body language, as she approached the group. An long haired blonde approached them. She seemed to be smaller then Milo at five-foot-seven-inches but also seemed to be around seventeen. Her green eyes were framed with her glasses. She wore a blouse, a blue jumper dress that reached her ankles, and had a brown bag strapped against her chest.

This new girl signed to Uta first, asking the girl, [I apologize if I sound rude. By any chance are you deaf?] Uta signed back and the blonde nodded in agreement.

Milo, now completely lost, stood back up as she dusted herself off and asked the blonde, "What is going on here?"

The blonde seemed to show no emotion, or at least just a slight amount of friendliness. No matter what, she seemed to have a voice that seemed to try to be analyzing everything. Looking to Milo, she replied, "I asked if this girl was deaf. She is, but she doesn't mind me asking the question. Her name is Uta Kuno and her family just moved to Dendou today. She is very glad to meet you." With a bow, the blonde signed her introduction to Uta before telling Milo the same exact thing with a voice. "My name is Tanya Hurns. And you?"

"Milo Arushi."

Tanya finished signing again to Uta, Milo presumed that Tanya was introducing her now to the girl, and Uta replied quickly. Tonya gave a light nod before turning back to Milo and translating for her. "She says that she is sorry that she knocked you down."

"Oh, it's no problem at all!" Milo replied with a smile, mainly aimed towards Uta. "Actually, it's my fault. I didn't watch where I was going." Gasping as she thought of an idea and hitting her fist lightly against her open hand, Milo continued, "I'll make it up to you, Uta! I'll buy you some ice cream. Same for you Tanya, that is if you want."

Tanya translated Milo's idea so that Uta could understand. Uta nodded and quickly replied. "Uta said she would love to. But I'll have to pass on that offer, Arushi. I need to get going as I have stuff I need to get done for tomorrow." Tanya took a notepad and pen out of her bag and handed them to Milo. "Use this. This way, you two can talk without a translator," she told Milo as she signed the same thing to Uta.

The blonde shut her bag and waved the two good-bye. "Have a nice day you two. Maybe we'll see each other around." Tanya smiled a bit, a bit kinder this time but it seemed like a facade if anything, before she left.

Milo and Uta kept their eyes on Tanya until she was out of their sights. Then, Milo grabbed Uta by the wrist, as gently as she could she wasn't trying to kill the new girl, and pulled her to the ice cream truck. The male owner leaned out the window and watched as the two girls approached him.

"Hey Milo!" he exclaimed. "Here for the usual? And you brought a friend?"

Nodding a bit too excitedly, Milo replied, "Yup to both! Oh, this is a new person to Dendou Town, Uta."

"Hello miss! Welcome to Dendou Town," the owner greeted the girl, that smile not being lost on his face. Uta just looked confused. It took Milo a second to realize it. But once she did, she wrote on the pad and handed it to the female.

He said welcome to Dendou Town. What kind of ice cream do you want?

Uta made a silent 'Oh.' She grabbed the notepad, turned it to a new page, and started writing on it herself, ignoring the others near her.

"Oh...Is she deaf then Milo?" the ice cream truck owner asked Milo. With an immediate nod from Milo, he got his answer.

As Uta finished writing, she held the pad up to the owner. Thank you! Vanilla please.

The owner nodded to them. "One chocolate and one vanilla coming up." Walking into his truck, he started to work on the two cones.

Milo grabbed the notepad back and wrote on it again. Would you like me to show you around town Uta? So that you can start getting a feel for it?

Uta smiled and excitedly nodded yes. This made Milo put a grin on her face. At this time, the truck owner leaned out his window again. He held a chocolate cone in his right hand and a vanilla cone in his left. "Here you go!"

"Thank you," Milo replied as the two took their cones. Milo set her yen on the counter before the two walked away as they waved to the owner, eating their ice cream.

The owner smiled and waved back at the two. "Please come again!"

The streets of Dendou Town were busy. They were flooded with people walking, trying to mind their own business. People were accidently bumping into others here and there. Trying to avoid bumping into anyone, Tanya was trying to do the same. But something kept pressing against her brain. And it felt like it had to do with those two girls she just met. What exactly was it though? No matter what she tried Tanya couldn't think of how they would though. Why?

Or, was it the bad feeling of something coming for those girls?

Her hand gripped tighter on the strap of the bag. It was all just a jumbled mess right now. Maybe she should just stop thinking about it, at least for a few moments. Yeah that seemed like a good idea. She was probably just overreacting again. Yeah…

The bag wriggled for a bit. Something on the inside was trying to get out. A cat-like creature whose fur resembled a tiger poked its head out of the bag. "Tanya, are you okay? Is something wrong?"

Tanya winced slightly. That trudged the thoughts back up for her. Yuske, this was the wrong time to ask that, she mentally chatased despite knowing the creature wouldn't hear them. Her hand tightly gripped the bag strap again. "I-I don't know. It's those two girls. I just...can't stop thinking of them for some reason. I don't know why. Then there's this feeling I have of something evil coming. All of it is bothering so much and I don't know why." Tanya looked down and continued walking. She never had all these thoughts filling her mind. Plus, she never have been so worried about people she just met so why would she start now?

The cat-like creature purred and rubbed his head against Tanya's arm. Tanya smiled and started petting the creature. Those mixed thoughts and anxious feelings just seemed to disappear as she kept petting Yuske, bringing a sigh of relief to the blonde. "Thank you Yuske. You know how to make me feel better."

Yuske just purred louder as he was petted.

A device beeped from the bag. Tanya quickly reached in to pull out a compact-like item. The screen on the top half of the item seemed normal as she opened it. On the bottom, there was a little notch to put something in. The notch was right above the keypad. Now that the compact was open it started to show a grid and a flashing dot. Tanya clutched her teeth.

"Ugh! Just what I thought. Something's going on." Tanya put the compact away, memorizing the location on the grid. "Let's go Yuske."

"Okay."

Yuske climbed back into the bag. Tanya started to run off, actively avoiding the people she almost ran into. Most of them gave her odd stares wondering why the female was in a hurry while others were still ignoring her.

Milo was still giving the grand tour of Dendou Town to Uta. Her plan was to show off some of the more famous or important places in town, even if they may be so limited. As the two walked from place to place, Milo wrote down descriptions of everything on the notepad and gave it to Uta. As she read each message Uta nodded to show that she understood.

The next place on Milo's route was the Power Plant. It was easily the biggest landmark in the town, not to mention one of the oldest as it has been here since people started to live in Dendou Town. Not only did it provide power to the town but also provided power to the neighboring towns. That's how much power it had to use. Truthfully, this Power Plant probably had much more power than that to use.

Milo wrote her description for the Plant on the notepad and handed it to Uta. Chuckling a bit at Milo's choice of words, she nodded and handed the pad back to the tour leader. Milo grabbed Uta's wrist again, but Uta was used to it by now, and pulled her along.

As the two walked along, Milo glanced at Uta. I want to give her the best tour ever and welcome her to our town with open arms. I feel so bad for her. She deserves it. It must have been a hard life for her. I mean, I don't know if I could cope with it myself if I was deaf. Milo sighed. It's weird though. How strong is she to live with this? She looks more like a dreamer then a warrior to me. Milo was so deep in thought about what it really meant to be strong that she didn't notice she stopped.

Uta looked at the female's face. That deep in thought look on Milo's face concerned Uta. The light haired brunette took the notepad and quickly scribbled on it. It was handed back to Milo. Are you okay?

That shook Milo out of it. She smiled and nodded yes. Milo clutched slightly hard on Uta's wrist, noticing that she was losing her grip on her, and the two continued walking again.

The atmosphere had a sense of calmness. The only sound that Milo could hear were birds chirping and the breeze blowing slightly. That was until that atmosphere was destroyed. People started to scream through the air, sounding like they were shocked.

Hearing the sound, Milo stopped a minute and glanced in it's direction. A serious look fell on the dark haired brunette's face. Uta tried to look in the same direction as Milo, trying to figure out what was happening. Something definitely felt off.

Another shout was heard. A deep voice called, "Wirea!"

Letting go of Uta's wrist, Milo ran towards the forest completely forgetting about the girl that she was giving a tour to. Something told her to run as fast as she could, as far away as she could. Uta still couldn't tell what was happening but seemed to be having the same feeling. She was trying to catch up behind her but Milo seemed to be much more agile.

The two girls finally reached a clearing in the forest. They never heard the scream again as they were running so they couldn't tell where it came from now. Milo looked around the clearing, fear clutching at her stomach. Uta, on the other hand, wanted to know what was going on so bad. However, the look on Milo's face said that this wasn't the best time to ask her.

I need to protect her… Milo thought to herself. This thing felt like it was bad news and she decided it was up to her as the more fit of the two. Almost immediately, Milo stood in front of Uta with her arms stretched out in a protective fashion. She look around the forest once more and yelled out, "Anybody there!? Show yourself!"

Uta tried her best to move in front of Milo, trying to help the girl. But with every attempt she made Milo pushed her back behind her. After a few tries, Uta gave up as she pouted. It just wasn't fair to her that Milo was doing all the work.

Getting what Milo asked for, the stomping trembled throughout the forest, shaking the earth. A large pull walked into the clearing. Its arms and legs seemed to be made of intertwined wires. If that didn't show anything was out of the ordinary then the face on the pole would definitely do so. It looked fairly angry at the moment.

Taking a good look at the monster herself, Milo swore she stopped breathing for a moment at the sight of it. Wh-What is that!? she mentally asked despite knowing she won't get an answer. H-How can a pole walk!? Or have legs or arms!? Or even faces!? This-This doesn't even make sense!

"Wirea!" With that call, the pole swung its arm at the two girls.

Milo turned towards Uta and grabbed the girl by the shoulders. With as much momentum as she could muster in a short time, she pushed herself and Uta onto the ground and away from the arm saving the two for now. Milo sighed and looked back again at the monster as she kept herself planted over Uta.

The pole screeched in anger as it noticed its target dodged. Quickly so no one had a chance to react, it swung again but only aiming for Milo this time. The swinging arm sent the brunette into a tree. With a grunt, Milo's back crashed against the tree and put a sizable dent in it. She fell to the ground with another grunt. The thread on the back of her shirt started to fray as it caught on the bark on the tree. Milo showed no signs of movement as her body just laid on the ground.

Uta gasped and ran towards Milo as she dodged another swing from the pole. It caught her in the ankle but this was not the time for her to falter. She shook Milo slightly, careful to not hurt her more but trying to wake her up. Small murmurs left Uta's lips as she grew more and more worried. Milo didn't show any signs of movement still.

She was trying to keep strong but Uta couldn't stop the tears that were coming. Wiping what she could away so that she can see clearly, Uta stood up deciding to try and return the favor to Milo. Despite the fear that was gnawing away at her stomach she tried to put on a brave face at the monster. She took the same stance in front of Milo that was reversed just mere moments before.

The monster yelled out once more. Aiming for Uta again, he swung another arm at her. Uta tried dodging but she couldn't. No one was there to protect Milo and that ankle that was hit started to feel sprained now. She closed her eyes, fearful of what would happen next.

"Grounded and true to the power of light, Cure Neutral!"

It should have came by now. And yet...It didn't. Uta slowly opened her eyes to see that some form was blocking the monster's arm from hitting them. It seemed like a young adult type of woman.

The female had light orange hair that was tied into a bow with an orange heart on it. Her orange dress had darker orange shorts underneath just in case. The orange shoulder pads were attached to her dress. Her arms were decorated with puffy, orange wristbands over her light orange fingerless gloves. To finish off the ensemble she had orange boots and on her chest rested a light orange bow.

W-what? Who is that? Uta thought to herself.

The person in front of Uta turned her head around a bit just to glance at her. Turning her body around to fully converse with Uta, the female started to sign quickly, [I know you must be confused right now. Please don't be. All you need to know is that you are safe now.]

Uta didn't know how this person knew that she was deaf. But to be honest that was currently the last thing on her mind. There was so many more questions right now to be answered. Only picking one, Uta signed to the girl, [Who...Are you?]

[Cure Neutral.] Turning her attention back to the monster, Neutral grabbed the monster's arm and flung it into one of the nearby trees. Her goal was to get it away from the two girls more then harm it at that minute but it worked. It didn't just leave a huge dent in the tree but broke it clear into two pieces from the monster. The effect was temporary as the pole got itself back up. With a screech, it started to wildly fling his arms at Cure Neutral, who just dodged every hit.

With a groan, Milo finally started to regain some sort of consciousness. She sat up, started to rub her back in an attempt to soothe it, and silently shouted, "That hurt...Uta, you okay? What's happening?"

Since she didn't get an answer, Milo looked to Uta herself. The girl seemed to be focused on another thing right now. Milo followed her gaze and saw that person who joined fighting the monster. Even with just one glanced Milo could tell that she wasn't a normal human.

Neutral back flipped away from the monster. The next time she had her hands on the ground, she used the momentum to springboard into the sky, using her feet to kick the monster's head. Her body twisted around as she finally got herself higher then the monster and shouted as she aimed her hands at the monster, "Return to normal now! Pretty Cure Neutral Beam!"

As the orange light from Neutral's hands washed over the monster there seemed to be a spirit of some sort forced out. The orange light faded out and the pole returned to being just a normal telephone pole, jammed in the ground.

Landing on her feet with a smirk, Cure Neutral decided it was time to high tail it out of there before anyone could catch up and see who she was. Thankfully she had enough speed in this form to outrun most normal people and decent stamina. She could hear a faint yell of "T-Thank you!" from Milo as she ran out of their sight.

The red sun started to bathe Dendou Town.

(Eyecatch: Milo and Uta try to look over Tanya's shoulder while she's reading a book. Tanya tries to get away from the two as Yuske takes it. Tanya chases him as the show's logo appears.)

(Eyecatch: Tanya is working on a computer as Milo and Uta play a game. Tanya's computer transforms into a Wirea. All three girls transform and defeat the Wirea as the show's logo appears.)

A dark-haired brunette was walking down the street. Her dark blue eyes reopened. She was wearing a High School's uniform: A white shirt with a gold collar, gold and red stripes at the edge of the sleeves, a pocket with gold and red stripes at the top, and a red shirt. The collar had a red bow tied underneath it. To keep them warm from the chilly Spring, she wore a gold blazier. The female's hair was tied up into a bun with a long ponytail flowing out of it.

Right behind her was Milo, tugging at the skirt of her Middle School uniform. The female groaned yet again as she gave it another tug. I hate skirts…

The Middle School uniform was vastly different from its High School counterpart. It had a blue and green striped collar on the shirt. The pocket was on its left side, opposite from the High School uniform, and had a blue stripe on top. The skirt was blue with a single green stripe across the bottom. To match the colors, it had a blue blazer.

"Stop pulling on your skirt," said the High Schooler in front of Milo as she turned around to face her.

Milo groaned again. "Sis…" She raised her voice a bit louder to make sure she could be heard. "Shula, you know I hate skirts."

The weather was almost perfect for the first day of school. Just like the day before there were clear blue skies and the sun shone down. A light breeze blew across the town making it a bit chilly for the morning but still bearable.

Seeing a figure coming into their path from the corner of her eye, Milo stopped tugging on her skirt to pay attention to the sidewalk in front of her. Her eyes snapped up and she immediately smiled at who she saw. "Uta!" With the call, Milo ran off to the girl as she waved.

Just a little bit ahead, Uta and Ita were walking together. Ita heard the shout and turned to look at Milo. Poking Uta's shoulder to get her attention and pointing at Milo, Ita signed to her sister, [Do you know her?]

Uta nodded as she smiled and waved to Milo as she caught up. The light haired brunette then signed to her sister to explain what she could.

"She says 'Hi Milo,'" Ita translated for the girl. "If my sister knows you then I should probably introduce myself. It's very nice to meet you. I am Ita Kuno. Uta is my twin sister."

The two girls bowed to each other in their politeness. Once it was over, Milo spoke again, "It's nice to meet you Ita. Um...Do you two know what class you are in?"

Ita replied with a nod meaning no. "We just moved in a few days ago, but I think Uta told you that already. We haven't heard anything."

"That's fine! We were actually going to check out our classes too. Why don't you two come with us and we can look together?"

After Ita signed what Milo said to her twin, both of the girls nodded in approval.

"Girls!" In their distraction, Milo saw that her sister somehow got ahead of the three of them. Shula was looking at the girls and waving to get their attention. "If you want to be on time to check out your classes we need to get going! So let's g-Oh, hi Tanya."

As she walked up and heard her name, Tanya smiled just slightly. Something more that was a return of the gesture then out of pure kindness. Keeping a tight grip on her bag, she was wearing the same High School uniform as Shula. "It's nice to see you again Shula." As she finally caught up with the group Tanya noticed the other ones with her. "Hello Milo," she told the brunette before signing, [Hello Uta.]

Uta signed back a hello to Tanya.

"Wait, wait, wait!" Chills went down Milo's back as her sister shouted out. One glance at her showed that she wasn't mad but surprised. Pointing at her sister, Shula continued, "Are you telling me that you two know the Tanya Hurns!?"

Milo glanced away from her sister's gaze as she tried to put her hands in her pockets...Well, not really. She realized her skirt didn't have pockets. Instead she placed her hands behind her back as she kept avoiding Shula as much as she could. "Not really...We just sort of bumped into her yesterday…"

"What!? You-you bumped into the…" Shula moved her pointed finger from Milo to Tanya as she kept looking back and forth between the two.

"Uh, I should be getting to school." There was a sense of urgency in Tanya's voice as she said that. After a glance at the watch on her wrist, she started to walk away from the group. "You guys should get going too if you don't want to be late. I'll see you at school...Maybe…" With a wave of her hand, she left as quickly as she came. Shula just kept staring at Tanya as she left.

Milo sighed and grabbed her sister's jacket sleeve. Looking back at Uta and Ita she told them, "Come on, we should get going." Ita quickly signed that to Uta as Milo started to pull her sister along.

As soon as they entered the school grounds, Shula waved goodbye and headed to the opposite side of the building. Dendou Town was small enough that both the High School and the Middle School could fit in one building. Whether that was a blessing or a curse was anyone's guess. Meanwhile, Milo, Uta, and Ita walked into their building. The bulletin board was right there as you walked in so after Milo exchanged her street shoes for her school ones, Uta and Ita had to get their lockers assigned yet, the three of them walked right up to it.

Milo was quickly glancing through the lists with her finger. "Arushi...Arushi...There I am! Class 3-E. How about you guys?"

After conversing with Uta, Ita replied for the two of them. "Uta's in class 3-C. I'm in Class 3-E too."

"Aw…" Milo slightly whined a bit. "I don't have Uta in my class. Oh well, at least you can save me from the certain doom of boring lectures Ita."

After she gave a chuckle herself, Ita signed what Milo said to Uta. Uta gave off her own little laugh. Milo just fake pouted at the two.

She couldn't hold it for long though. After a minute or so she sighed and gave up. "Okay you two still need to head to the office before classes right? I'll let you go so you can get that settled." With a smile, Milo turned and waved bye to the two. "See you later! Good luck girls."

Uta looked up at the sign above the door. There it was. Class 3-C. This was it...The first day with a new class. She looked back at her sister with pleading eyes that said that she really didn't want to be here.

Ita started to sign in an attempt to calm her down. [You'll be okay Uta. You're just overreacting. Remember, everything is going to be fine. If you need us, Milo and I will just be right down the hall.]

Giving off a shaky sign of [Thank you], Uta let her sister walk off to her class room. She took another look at the door and gulped. The bell rang but it wasn't like she could hear it. She waited for the door to open and saw her homeroom teacher. She had wavy blonde hair, a long sleeved white polo, and a turquoise skirt down to her knees. She started to talk but Uta couldn't hear that either and instead cocked her head.

The teacher looked like she just remembered something. She grabbed the notepad and pen she took with her and started to scribble on it. Once she finished she showed the pad to Uta. Are you Uta Kuno? I'm Mrs. Tachibana. Welcome to Class 3-C! Come in and I'll introduce you to the rest of the class.

Uta nodded again and followed her homeroom teacher in. Despite not being able to hear anything, she knew Mrs. Tachibana was talking about her. Feeling a weight grabbing her shoulder, Uta saw Mrs. Tachibana pointing at a desk and Uta realized that was her seat. Nodding again, she walked towards it, put her bag on the hook, and sat down. She could see her new classmates asking questions and the teacher answering each and every one. What she couldn't tell was that they were all about her.

After a few questions, Mrs. Tachibana started class and wrote on the whiteboard. As her back was turned some boy was already trying to throw some small paper balls at Uta's head. This continued to happen throughout the whole period.

It was only ten minutes into class and Milo already had her head on her desk, snoozing. The teacher was talking about the rules, class policies...You know, all the fun things you hear on the first day. The teacher was walking up and down the aisles of the desks when he spotted the sleeping female. He slammed a book against the desk and Milo, now startled, bolted straight up in her chair.

"Huh!? What!? I'm awake!" a startled Milo yelled as she frantically looked around the room. Her eyes finally fell on the teacher off to her side. She gulped as the class laughed.

Picking up the book, the teacher just sighed. "I know you like to sleep a lot in class . However, I would advise you to keep your eyes open. You might want to buck up and stop it if you plan to go to college. It will be a miracle if you make it to High School."

Milo groaned and hit the desk with her head. The teacher continued walking and giving his beginning of the year speech.

"Lunchtime!" a few people in the High School class of 3-A resounded. Others just started to chatter and either leave to their spots or move their desks around so that they could eat together. Tanya just shrugged as she gathered her books and put them away. After all of the years of declining to eat lunch with anyone, no one ever dared to come up and ask her to eat with them. Well, almost no one…

Shula was walking to Tanya's desk as the glasses wearing girl got her bento out. Tanya looked up at the girl, a bit more excited then her tastes would allow. "Uh...Yes Shula?"

"So, do you want to eat lunch with me Tanya!?" Shula blurted out after pausing for a moment as she shoved her bento into Tanya's face.

Out of the corner of Tanya's eyes she could see her bag moving and wriggling. The blonde kept her eyes planted to the ground to be as inconspicuous as possible. "I can't. Sorry Shula." In a swift motion, she grabbed her bag and ran out of the classroom. Whatever Shula shouted to her after was completely ignored.

"Wait up, Tanya! You forgot your bento!"

Milo tapped her foot as she waited outside of the classroom. The door opened and right on cue Uta came out with her bento. The girl recognized her right away and gave Milo a questioning look. Milo held up a notepad. Do you want to eat lunch with me?

Giving an answer the easiest way she could, Uta smiled and nodded yes. Milo grabbed Uta by the wrist and dragged her out to one of the areas on the school grounds. There was a nice shaded area by one of the trees that Milo loved to sit by. By the smell of things when the two arrived there the grass was just recently cut. The two ate by the tree and chatted by the notepad. They were having fun learning about each other. Of course, all good things must come to an end.

Just one ominous call spread across the school yard. "Wirea!"

"Not this again…" groaned Milo as she stood up, getting ready to try and protect Uta this time. Clearly remembering the last time there was only one thing they could do, despite it leaving a sour taste in Milo's mouth. Grabbing Uta's wrist, trying not to startle the girl but hurry at the same time, she helped the girl up. At a moment's notice Milo was ready to run. Uta seemed to get the picture too by how tense she looked.

The monster made its way to the school grounds. While there were features similar to the last one they saw, like the arms and legs having intertwined wires, there were some major differences too. Instead of being a pole it seemed to be a cell phone this time. The angry looking face was still there. On instinct Milo tensed at its appearance.

Before Milo could even start running away, a figured jumped across the sky. Despite only seeing her once Milo knew that orange clad figure anywhere as they stood between them and the monster. "C-Cure Neutral?"

Neutral gave a quick nod and smile to the girls behind her as a sort of hello. As she looked back to the monster her glare returned. "It's time for you to stop tormenting this town Wirea!" With that call, she jumped up and tried to kick the monster. It was definitely smarter than the previous one, Neutral had to admit that. It grabbed her by the leg and threw her into the foliage of the tree they were all hovering by. She fell off the branch she hit and onto the ground.

"Cure Neutral!" Milo yelled and Uta mouthed as they ran towards the girl to check how she was.

The cure grabbed her head and groaned as she got up. Looking to the two girls, she replied, "I'm fine. You two need to go hide though! This isn't playing around, you could get hurt." Trying to shoo them away, Neutral got up and ran towards the monster again, readying a punch. This time, the Wirea grabbed Neutral with its fist and threw her to the ground with full power. Neutral hit the ground with a large thump and left a dent in the ground that outlined her body perfectly.

By this point but Milo and Uta hid behind the tree. It wasn't a fool proof plan but the best they could do on short notice. At least the tree would still give some protection. The two watch as the battle between Cure Neutral and the monster went back and forth. After all the time that passed and the punches being thrown over and over, Cure Neutral started to lose ground.

The Wirea swung its arm once more for a punch at the cure. Neutral's reaction time was just slightly slower but that was all the fraction the monster needed. As she started to guard herself again, Neutral's hands didn't fly up fast enough and she was punched into one of the school walls. After a second to make sure the monster didn't move again, Milo and Uta ran over to the girl to see if Neutral was okay. As Neutral started to glow the two stopped in their tracks and gasped at what they saw. Cure Neutral was becoming…

"Tanya Hurns!" the two shouted/mouthed at the same time.

Tanya was trying to push herself up with all of her remaining strength but it was all for nothing. Her arms gave out and she fell back to the ground. The injuries were still there if just a little duller but she could feel the ache all along her body. Any attempt at movement just resulted in the pain jolting through her body again and preventing her from moving more. "Ugh...Milo! Uta! Please...Run away…"

"N-No! We can't just run and leave you to the rest! Especially not when you are in danger," Milo told the blonde as Uta nodded along, guessing it was important and she needed to agree despite not being able to understand what she was saying. "You saved us once! It's time for us to repay the favor and save you!" As Milo continued, she started to glow a faint purple light as Uta glowed a faint yellow light.

Out of the corner of her eye, Tanya could see her compact that seemed to appear out of nowhere and land right next to her start to glow along with the girls. Their feelings to help were so strong it couldn't help to react. Two lights shot off to the girls and landed in their hands in the form of little orbs, similar to a marble. Milo got one colored purple as Uta's was colored yellow. The orbs shined again to make a compact similar to Tanya's appear in their other hand, with Milo's being blue and Uta's being gold.

Before the girls could react, their bodies and mouths started to move on their own. They put their orbs into a little slot at the top of the bottom part of the compact as they both shouted out. "Pretty Cure Static Field! Activate!" They both closed their eyes as they felt their bodies fill with a form of electricity that didn't seem to harm them and their clothes started to change.

Milo's hair and eyes turned purple. Her now longer hair was tied into one long strand of a ponytail by bandages. A dark purple bow appeared on her head. She wore a long sleeved, light purple one piece suit with a purple skirt, a purple over vest, purple shoulder pads, and purple puffy elbow sleeves. She finally had purple boots along with long light purple socks.

Uta's now blonde hair was put into two pigtails by yellow bows. A yellow bow was tied against her neck. Her golden suit was two-pieced. The top connectected to two yellow shoulder pads. Underneath the parted skirt were yellow shorts. Her feet had yellow boots.

As the electricity started to leave their body, a bow rested against both girls' chests. Milo's was light purple and Uta's was yellow. The girls then finally reopened their eyes.

"Showing the dark side the shadows of the light! Cure Negative!"

"Shining on the bright side of things! Cure Positive!"

An orange ball of fluff bound as fast as he could towards Tanya. His paws were hitting heavily against the ground. "Tanya! I-I'm coming!" he panted, clearly out of breath, as he approached the girl. That was when his eyes widened and saw the injuries on Tanya. "Tanya, you're hurt! Oh no…" He tried to move the girl out of the way from the battle by using his nose but it didn't work. That was when he spotted the two new figures. "Wait...Are they…"

Tanya nodded yes. "Yes. They are Pretty Cure."

When she came back to her senses Negative saw that she had changed completely. Like she couldn't even recognize herself anymore if she didn't know that was her to begin with. With a bit of a surprised squeal, Negative started to cover her face with her hands. "What-What is this!? And what do you mean by Pretty Cure!?"

"Mil-I mean Cure Negative!"

Hearing an out of place voice, someone she never heard before in her life, Negative cautiously looked around for the source of it. She felt a tug on her sleeve from Positive who had not only also changed just like her but also was pointing at herself. Her mouth opened again with a voice that didn't seem to be to used to talking coming out. "Cure Negative, I can hear!" Positive covered her mouth as she heard the different name come out. "I'm sorry...I don't know why I'm calling you that. It just came to me."

"Wait, is that really you!? That's really great Positive!" Negative covered her mouth too as she realized that she called the girl by a different name. "Whoops, guess it's not just you."

Giving a light groan, Yuske moved slightly away from Tanya to meet up with the two girls. "You two, instead of wondering around you need to pay attention! Look behind you!"

At that suggestion, the two turned around to see the quickly approaching Wirea. They both screamed for a second before running away but not getting far when the Wirea used one of it's arms to block their path. With a nod to each other, the two girls came up with a plan on the fly. Positive started to run the other way and slid underneath the Wirea making it bend over. It was too late when it looked up. Negative kicked the Wirea's head. After kicking it three more times, she used the power from the third kick to propel and backflip off.

The Wirea cried out, angry. It started to swing it's arm. Negative jumped up and forced its arm to the ground. Positive came up from behind and pushed its leg, tripping the Wirea. It fell to the ground with a thud and left a decent sized dent in the ground.

"Now, join both of your hands together!" Yuske called to the two again.

Positive and Negative looked to the odd creature as if he was crazy, despite that being oddly correct for the moment. "What!?"

"You heard me! Just do it! Once you do so, the rest should come naturally."

The monster was trying to get up, but failed with every attempt. Positive and Negative nodded to each other and grabbed each other's hand. Yuske was right. The words just flowed into their minds. Their mouths seemed to be rewired to speak whatever that was.

"Positive Charge!"

"Negative Charge!"

The two started to glow their respective shades of yellow and purple as they closed their eyes. They both continued speaking in a unison type of voice, "We can feel it! The warmth of good flowing through us." As they reopened their eyes each Cure reached a hand out towards the Wirea while tightening the hold on the hand they were holding. "Pretty Cure Charge Cannon!"

A flash of light came out of their hands and enveloped the Wirea. It faded and, in its place where monster was, a cell phone appeared.

Finally regaining some strength, Tanya was finally able to hold herself up by her arms. "Wow…" As two shadows hovered over her, she looked up at the figures of Cure Positive and Cure Negative.

Negative crossed her arms and glared down. "It's time for you to explain."

Yuske: We'll tell you everything, we promise.

Uta: Next time on Pretty Cure Static: "Time for an Explanation! The Situation from Tanya."

Milo: I guess I'll try to calm down.

Tanya: Good. Now doesn't that feel better?

Milo: ...No…)
