Hinata is silent. Hinata is quiet. Hinata does not shout. Hinata does not raise her voice. Not when she's happy. Not when she's sad. Not even when she's in pain.
Her voice is barely above a whisper. Like a leaf or a grain of sand in the mercy of a harsh storm it perishes under the volume of others. Like a fragile romance it crumbles under rejection.
Hinata is invisible. Hinata is see-through. Until she speaks she is not there. And once she stops she disappears.
She stands still and unmoving. She flinches upon contact. Like a rabbit among a sea of predators. Like a speck of white among the colors of a flower painting.
Who is Hinata?
The one who whispers? The one who disappears?
She is the maiden in a village of assassins. She is the Lily of the Valley in a field of dark roses. She is the day of peace in the year of war and bloodshed. She is the porcelain vase in a room full of bronze statues. She is the white fan in a shack full of blades and daggers.
And then, she screams.
The assassins raise their heads. The dark roses whither. The war comes to an end. The bronze statues turn to dust. The blades and daggers fall to the ground.
He rushes to her. The one with the blue eyes. The one she loves. He shakes her as his tears fall down on her, like the rain on the battlefield. She does not respond. She merely looks at him until he fades along with the rest of the world. He holds her to his chest and cries. But he doesn't tell her he loves her. Because it is too late.
Goodbye Hinata.
The one who whispers. The one who disappears.
