AN: Hi guys, sorry for my long absence. I will be updating C&M very soon. This is just something short and random that popped up in my head. Let me know what you thought of it.
"Mama, mama!" Callie heard as she walked into the daycare, craving a little Zozo time.
"Hi, sweetie! Did you miss me?" She asked, picking up the toddler.
"Missed you much, mama!" The little girl wrapped her arms around Callie's neck and gave her mom a wet kiss.
"Thank you, baby. I missed you too! Wanna have some lunch with Uncle Alex and Aunt Addie?"
Zola nodded her head in excitement, always looking forward to spending time with her godparents.
Callie bounced her daughter on her hip, "Alright! Let's go!"
As they walked toward the cafeteria, Callie pulled out her phone and texted her wife to see how Sofia's soccer game had went. They'd tried hard to arrange their schedules, so that at least one of them would always be available for Sof's games. So far, it had worked out well.
Callie slipped her phone into her lab coat, awaiting Arizona's text. Meanwhile, Zola was talking away about her friends from daycare as her mom listened and nodded even though some of the sentences didn't make any sense.
They were just about to walk into the cafeteria when Zola squealed, causing Callie to pause her stride and inspect her kid.
"What's wrong, baby?"
"Mommy 'n Sof!" Zola pointed out with her hand.
Callie followed Zola's extended, chubby hand and a bright smile adorned her face.
"Mama!" Sofia hugged Callie by the legs while Zo was trying hard to get loose from her mama's grip.
"Hey, big girl! How was your game?" Callie asked as she brushed back Sof's hair from her sweaty face. She was still in her soccer uniform that looked so adorable on her.
"It was so good, mama! We won, and I scored 2 goals!"
"Wow, I want to hear all about it!"
Arizona greeted her wife with a kiss and planted one on Zozo before the little girl reached for her.
"It's your day off and you still come to work, babe?" Callie chuckled.
"Monkey wanted to come see you. She had an awesome game, didn't you Sof?"
Sofia jumped up, "It was awesome!"
Her eldest daughter began talking a mile a minute about the game as they walked into the cafeteria.
"Slow down, sweetie. Let's get some food in you first," Callie said.
Sofia obliged, but ran to greet her godparents at a lunch table.
"What'd you feed her?" Callie laughed.
"Capri-Sun and pretzels. I promise!" Arizona said.
With their plates filled, they took their seats at the table where Sofia had the attention of Addie and Alex by animating exactly how she scored the first goal.
"Sof, come eat. You can show us your moves after lunch," Callie reminded.
Sofia sat down, but started discussing how mean one of the opponents was.
Callie shook her head and smiled, letting her daughter get out all her excitement about the game.
"Sof funny, mommy!" Zola giggled at her sister.
"Yes, she is," Arizona chuckled with her toddler as she fed her a spoonful of mac 'n cheese.
Callie whispered in her wife's ear, "You know, she totally takes after you."
Arizona smiled at Sofia's excitement and wiped Zola's mouth, "Yeah, I know."
