I was out for a walk when I noticed someone was following me, I had at the time just shrugged it off, but after a few hours of walking around, I noticed it was still there and I found a bench to sit at, I had leaned my head back as if asleep and before to long I felt little tiny fingers reach into my pocket and try to take my wallet, my eyes snapped open and grabbed the hand , and as it turned out, it had been Rin, she was an orphan with no one to teach right from wrong, so I gave her some money and told her that "If anything were wrong to come and find me."

Ironically, I happened to stumbled upon her at an orphange only a few weeks later where I found the girl who had tried to steal from me not to long ago, I looked into her big, bright, hopeful eyes and something in me snapped all at once I knew that this small human child would be mine from now on. I gazed down at her, so much bigger now her once dirty apperence cleaned up and pristine, her dialect much better, when she wanted to talk right that is. We headed out to a few of the demon pet adoptions sites that we owned, Rin had been in almost all of them and she did not care for sny of the animals in there, she didnt like babaies or adults, mamals or reptiles it was as if she was bound to connect on a spirtual level. I blamed that on my fater the great Inu-Tashio he had been completly smitten on the child since i brought her home, he protected her like she were the last of her kind and spoiled Rin beyond all belief, bought her presents and teats, indulged her with stores from his past, the fedual era, stories of my child hood, and mythical stories that were made to teach kids a lesson. Such as the one that has made it most impossible for Rin to pick a pet, he put it in her head that she should only take other animals and demons in as pets if you have he means to provide for it, which i could, and if you felt a soul connection, Now the old man couldve left it at that but when little Rin had asked if he meant a soul connection like she had with him, Inuyasha, and myself he proudly exclaimed "Yes! Exactly!"
As we drove farther out i felt Rin becoming less and less spirited about the whole ordeal. While i was thinking of this, I noticed there was something weird going on with myself as we got farther out, closer to the only strictly cat adoption site we helped operate, every fiber in my body would tingle, as we got closer it became more intense, making me feel loopy, and light headed, and I could feel this sort of pulling on my being as if being called to, having grown curious and tired of this feeling.
I turned toaddressed the driver "Driver."
"Yes My Lord?" He replied not taking his eyes off the twisting rode infront of us, both my father and Rin looked at me confused paying them no mind I turned back to the driver "Go straight to the last site" I commanded
"Yes My Lord."
"A cat Sesshomaru, have you lost your mind?" My father remarked disapprovingly, I rolled my eyes, he didnt approve of cats, an old dog and cats fight that lives on through him i supposed. Rin however was beyond excited
"Rin would love to have a cat! Rin loves cats! That is if The Lords father doesn't mind." Rin exclaimed and finished quite shyly looking at my father with the sweetest eyes, of course he mealted, his eyes shined with love as he gazed at Rin
"Of course I don't mind, I was merely concerned for you, I didn't know if it was what you wanted my dearest granddaughter." Rin smiled and nodded and went to sit next to him, then had started to chat about what kind of cat she wanted, I watched out the window, noticing how much things have changed from the years I was first born, how much the air has been polluted, the lack of trees and forest, and how little demons were afraid to show what they were, that had always surprised me, we rode the rest of the way in silence, not even Rin talked as we rode up to the site.
As we pulled into the adoption site, I could see the simple yet pretty white country styled house over run with cats, I wrinkeled my nose at the smell. The owner was outside helping watch the kittens, who were in a rather large kennel sectioning them off from the rest of the rather large area and were trying to climb out the side. When she looked up from playing with one shocked, her eyes were wide and her mouth hung open for just a moment.
"Oh my! Lord Sesshomaru I wasn't expecting you so soon, my apologies." she blushed standing up and calling one of the older huminoid cats to come over and keep an eye on the small kits who were now on edge crouched down in a group staring up at his tall frame.
"It is of no consequence, I arrived early so any adjustments that you need make do them now so we can view the cats you have picked out for my daughter." She nodded and motioned for us to follow her into the house, we walked into the living room, there was a room full of demon cats some in their huminoid form and some in their animal form of all sizes in the windowseal or just layed out on the floor or sprawled out on the 2 couches in the room, playing video games, reading, and talking to each other.
"Every, except the ones who I told would be viewed for the lord, to your rooms now please!" She shouted everyone stopped and stared for a minute before they grumbled out a protested but with with a glare went on there way anyway.
"Sorry, like I said we weren't expecting you so soon, we were going to pick up before you were scheduled to arrive, I try not to make it an all day affsir so they dont get stressed out. I dont know what you know about cats but stressful situations dont help with the attitude" she laughed as she picked up the controlers, straightened up the couch cushions, and after she finished she turned around to check the clock on the baby blue wall.
"As I have said before it doesn't matter, we came early." I said getting aggitated. She looked at me and squinted slightly, i knew she knew i was becoming angry, she didnt say anything for a moment "My names Misty." She said holding her hand out for us to shake, we all shook it, even Rin who had gotten up from plaing with the other cats.
Misty squated down to rins hight "Now, what kind of cat would you like dear?" She asked Rin excitedly
"Do you want a normal cat, or a demon cat?" She asked turning to me
"Demon."
"Okay, and you said you wanted them to be able to transfer from demon to human form, did you want a Little to Big kit?" She asked
"Its whatever Rin wants, I hope you did rember i specificuly asked only for ones that could protect her though."
"I did rember that Lord Sesshomaru," She said turning back to Rin
"In her kitten form do you want her to be big or little and what about fluffieness, really really fluffy or only a little fluffy?" Misty asked her eyes lighting up and using her hands to try and excite the little girl, she obviously knew what she was doing bevause it worked like a charm.
"Ohhhh! I dont care about big she gets but can she be really fluffy?! Like really really fluffy! Oh! And black! Pleaseeee!" Rin yelled jumping about excitedly, scaring away most of the cats in the room away, Misty giggled amused by the girls antics.
"Of course! It's your birthday isn't it?" Misty exclaimed and grabbed Rin's hand as she stood and lead her over to my father
"Well, if you'll just have a seat you can play with the kittens you havent scared off and I'll make sure I didnt miss any for you." She said smiling, and turned to walk off before I interrupted her
"Actually, I would like to walk with you, just to make sure everything is in order, since I'm hear." I said, She smiled and nodded. We walked down what seemed like 20 hallways with everything in order, not a speak of dust, not a pile of dirt, not even hair balls, which I had actually expected alot of. As we walked down the hall ways she would open a door let out a black ball of fuz of diffrent sizes that calmly walked past us down the hall, she turned to me as we entered the last hallway
"So everything is in order I hope, I try to keep it as clean as possible, but you know with a couple hundred kits, demons and nondemons alike it gets kind of dirty." She said swiping her finger along the wall and bringing the appendage close to her face, she frowned and whipped it off on her blue jeans, I looked at her slightly confused.
"I haven't a clue what your talking about this place looks spotless." I said, my voice even, she smiled and laughed
"That's because cats are slightly more sensitive to smells and sights making it easier to spot tiny mistakes." she paused "No offence of cource"
I just nodded, she continued to walk she sighed "Ok this is the last hallway." As we walked I felt the pulling on my being start up again as we walked down the hall. This feeling kept getting stronger as we passed by a diffrent colored slightly older door with music blaring through it, my legs had gone num, I had to disguise my discomfort and try to casually lean on the wall to help support myself
"Misty?" I asked getting her attention, She turned to look at me and if I hadnt been so wrapped in myself i might have notice the worry slip into her eyes. She answered "Yes?"
"What's in that room?" I jestered to the room across the hallway from me, she walked over and cast a finally noticed nervos glance at the door them to the ground "Oh That's one of my older orphans, I didn't pick her, shes almost 120 in human years so I wasnt sure she would be a good match for Rin." I looked at her, and I took in the sent, it didn't smell of just cat,
"I thought that all your residence were cat's" I asked, she nodded
"Most of them are, she's the only one who, how do i say this, isn't fully cat."
"Fully cat?" I repeted confused. she nodded
"What do you mean? If shes hanyo that's not a problem as long as she can still transform." She shook her head and looked around dropping to a whisper moving me father along the hall so we were farther away from the door blaring music, farther away than I thought nessicary.
"Well, her mother was a full blooded cat, part of the royal eastern family, and her father was part of the northren dog tribe, the King of the north, and they were each mated, not to each other but others. Well once they met everyone knew it would it horribly and it did. They had an affair with each other and unitentionaly had there one and only daughter, a cat-dog hybrid, and due to them both being mated they were both killed for there injustice once their daughter was born, and her mother's sister stole her to keep her from being abused." She said jestering towards the door
"In the middle of the night she brought her to me, before i had this place, and paid me almost a million, all her money to keep her safe and the rest would go to her family, she new that she would be caught and punished for treason, so that night she disapered and I never heard from her again. I dont know what happened to her, if she got caught or if she has managed to stay hidden. Angel knows what happened, and for a short time she went out and tried to find her Aunt but after about 10 years of endless searchingshe gave up and came back." She said sadly looking at the door
"I raised her as best I could but there was somethings I just couldnt help her with and she really is a very sweet girl, but something happened over the course of the trip and it made her snap, she is a little hard to get to know at first but shes so very sweet and great with the little ones." She continued
"I want her to be brought out and tested then, if she is as great with little ones as you say. We are no stranger to hard heards." I said firmly finally regaing my legs she stopped and turned to look at me like I was crazy
"What? She's part cat part dog, do you know what that means?" She asked her voice slightly panicked though why I had no clue
"She has the grace of a cat, the deadliest claws, she will be protective like dog, that means that she will be strong like one too, I want her." I stated matter of factly Mistly looked around like she was in quite a panick "Look lord Sess-" She started.I growled at her "I said I want her inn keeper, do i need to repeat myself?" Her jaw hardened and she glared at me but she walked over to the door and before she opened it said,
"I highly dought you do realize that it also means she has the temper of a dog and cat which makes it horrifically very short, she will be quick to lash out if she feels that she is in danger. She is moody and young and can be quite rude, but you take my daughter see how you fair." She was right I hadn't thought of that, I looked down to think for a moment but before I could say anything she had she knocked on the door and she swung it open before any one could could answer her.
"Angel baby, come here please." She called out over the blaring music suddenly the music stopped and an extremely small kitten stepped out, she couldnt be more than ankle height, I knew that Rin could hold her in both or juat one of her hands without it being to difficule. Other than her obvious tinyness, she had a shiny midnight black coat with a silver Cresent moon in the center of her forehead and what looked like a red trail of fur down her spine, her eyes, however, were her most enchancing feature. Eyes so blue it was hard to descibe them, stuck between the softest of baby blue or the harshness of a blue gem. She was quite something to look at. She stared up at Misty her eyes seeming unearthly against her fur. She cocked her to the side and looked at me as if to ask what we wanted.
"Transform please." Misty said glaring down at the small creature shoeing her back in the room. The cats ears shot back and an aggravated growl escaped her throat, I was thrown off by how oddly alluring the noise was. After the door closed all I could do was stair at it, my mind trying to catch up with my body. Why did i feel this way? What was causing my body to react so, to a cat though non the less. Suddenly the door swung open and every fiber in me went numb not for the first time. Her hair was pulled up in a messy bun black and red hair swirled together, she had on a loose red tshirt and tiny black shorts. It was all Sesshomaru got to take in before she spoke and all he could do was listen to her voice, her firey blue eyes went straight to Misty.
"What mom?" A bell like voice growled out. Misty glared back at the feline
"The Lord wants to have you tested." The cat raised her brow
"Really? its been awhile since you let me play with the customers, just give me a few minutes to get changed, Ill meet yall down there. Oh, and by the way, I hope you relized I could hear your whole conversation." Her eyes swung to me and she smirked once again "I think its funny you feel so confident in yourself that you just assume you can handel me." The door shut again, a few moments later the door opened and out walked a very short girl with two black cat ears twitching in irritation They mustve been hidden in her endless amount of hair, she had a flawless heart shaped face, her eyes surrounded by thick dark eyelashes, a silver Cresent moon hanging between her black eyebrows. Her tiny noes, and full blood red lips scrunched up in annoyance, causing her two deep red marks that resembled mine except in color. Her face was surrounded by a curtain of wavy raven hair all the way down to her lower back, she had a swan like neck, her tight black tank top hugging her plump full chest flat stomach. She had her thin but muscler armes crossed over her cheast, and her shorts, that now covered more than her other ones, rested easly on the beautiful flare of her hips going down to her mid-thigh. Her clothing showed that she had two matching lines as the ones on her face running all down her body, She looked over at me I saw her eyes check me out before a playful smirk spread across her plump lips
"You ready to get this over with" She asked. I stayed quite mearly staring at her, she sighed quite loudly "Let's get this over with" Then she walked off. We walked back to the room where Rin was supposed to be playing with the kittens in complete silince. I kept an eye on the girl from the back trying to figure her out.
'She switches between fiesty to sweet to cunning so quick it almost unbeleiveable,' My best said, I nodded in silent agrement as I watched her hips sway back and forth as she walked. 'Shes quite beautiful isnt she?'
"Quite." I said, eveyone stopped and turned to stare at me. I stoped and realize what I had done. I didnt dignify their questioning looks with an answe and instead kept walking. They soon follwed and Angel continued to walk infront of me, I continued to watch her hips sway with her hair as she walked.
We were only moments behind her when she suddenly shot off to open the door, soon after I heard Rin sqeal, my father gasp in suprise, and not long after both, him and Angel were growling at each other. Angel sounding more like an Inu than i had liked to admit. Misty and I ran to make sure she gettign hurt, or worse, hurting anyone else and what we ran into truly shocked us, The cat had my Ward in her lap on the floor cuddling her while my father looked at them with slight annoyance a pout sitting on his face. I sighed at my father and rolled my eyes, walked to them and plucked Rin out of her arms making both girls whine.
"Hey!" The cat protested glarig at me and pouting.
"Will Lord Sesshomaru put Rin down?" Rin assked squirming in my arms a frown sitting on her young face, I frowned never having got this reaction from Rin and put her back into the cats lap, she instintly beamed up at the cat.
