FADING ECLIPSE
A/N: Hope you Team Jacob peeps like this story.
I wasn't sure of Edward's (Gayward) middle name was.
"Do you, Edward Anthony Cullen, take Isabella to be your bride?" I inwardly cringed at the name, showing on my face. I turned to Edward. His face was lit up with joy that I had never seen before. His voice ran like bells through the air. "I do." Those two words seemed to constrict my breathing, almost making me hyperventilate when Angela's dad asked me the same question. I didn't respond automatically like Edward. I wanted this life. Boy, did I want to be a vampire. I flicked my head towards the people at the ceremony. Angela, Charlie, Renee, Esme, Carlisle, Alice, Jasper, Emmett, Rosalie, Billy, Seth and Sue were the only people who registered in my brain. My heart fell dramatically when I realised the only person I had actually wanted to come, didn't. I felt a light squeeze on a hand that wasn't there when I looked down. I knew instantly it was Edward. "I… I… I can't. I'm sorry." I was so confused. Why was I saying this? I should have said yes and when down the road to an immortal life with Edward. I slipped my engagement ring and it fell into Edward's waiting hand. Tears streamed down my face unchecked as I trembled and moved myself back down the aisle and out of the Cullen's house.
I stopped out the front and closed my eyes, hugging my knees at the same time. Some grumbled and came to a stop. Obviously a latecomer to the wedding. "Bella? Is that you?" A husky voice whispered from in front of me. I looked up through blurred eyes and saw someone who looked like Jake. Not sure, I asked. "Jacob?" He helped me up, hugged me tightly, and laughed, the noise vibrating into my head. I held on to his jacket for dear life. "Sorry I'm late. Jared just contacted me via wolf, saying you were getting married. And I ran home and I put these on." I choked on a sob an put my lips on his warm, russet colour skin. "I knew you would come. I knew." He breathed in his face buried in my hair. He pulled us only slightly apart before looking me straight in the eyes. "Thank you. I love you." I smiled weakly and looked down at my feet. He hugged me closer and put his chin onto my head.
Everybody started to come out of the Cullen' backyard, confused at why I had run out of the ceremony. Charlie came up to Jacob and I. "Jacob, you better look after my little girl. Or else..." Charlie threatened Jake while holding something that he had hidden behind his jacket. Jake visibly gulped before gaining some confidence. "If you think I'm going to leave Bella like Cullen did, I would never do that." Charlie seemed satisfied with the answer and walked over to his cruiser. That's weird, Renee's in the cruiser. Charlie got in and leaned over, kissing Renee. My mouth hit the ground.
Alice stood with shock in her eyes and Jasper kept whispering things into her ear at human pace. Rosalie smiled at me, a smile that seem to say that I had made the right choice. And I knew I had. With Jacob.
