A/N: First fanfic here- just something I typed up in three minutes, so there are probably a lot of spelling mistakes. I hope you enjoy it. -Mako

He was… different. Yes. Not in a bad way, no. Never. But granted, it was a bit different.

He was younger looking (despite the fact that he was over 900 years old), had a full head of hair, and teeth. Dear Lord, he couldn't shut up about the teeth. Nor his hair color. Brown. Again. He's had brown so many times, why not ginger? She didn't mind of course, but he put up hell for it.

These thoughts ran through her mind as she watched him run around the console, pressing buttons here, flipping switches there, and slamming things with a hammer over there. It was the same as before, except he was a bit more energetic. She was leaning against one part of the console as he ran up to her to continue his dance of TARDIS navigation. He didn't even stop to scootch her away or even ask; he just snaked his arms around her and grabbed two levers on either side of her, pushing them up. Before he could dance away, she turned around to face him.

"Yes?" he asked, leaning back a little to look at her properly, both hands still gripping the levers.

"You're different."

"Well of course, I just regenerated."

"No, I mean, everything. Not just looks, but the way you act and speak."

"When it comes to regeneration, the only choices you have is death or taking the full package. I tend to choose the latter," he grinned and continued to make his way around the console.

"So you're completely different? Not one bit the same?" she asked, smiling slightly at his goofiness and whisking herself around to watch him.

"Well, yes and no," he said, pausing in thought before forcibly pulling a lever down and smacking a few buttons. "I look different, my personality varies, but for my memories," he walked over to her and poked her nose. "They're all still here." He tapped the side of his head and continued to navigate the TARDIS, making her grin and continue to watch him.

Yes, the new Doctor was different from the one she had met.

But Rose Tyler was going to have a hell of a good time with the new one.
