but why does she hate you but not someone else?
you walk into school on your first day and bump into a black-haired girl. she shouts at you like you did something wrong but you didn't. you recognise her but can't remember where, your memories shoved to the back of your mind and the worries of a new school pushing their way to the front. she didn't look like anyone you used to know, you would realise that. you recognise the name when you walk into your acting class where everyone is waiting for you but you can't work out where you've heard it. you've probably just heard it when you walked into school this morning, someone was obviously going to say her name.
the next day, your forced to redo a scene called the bird scene. it's difficult to do but you crack it in the end, no matter what happened. you see the goth type girl sat in the front row laughing her way through the scene. you ignore her and carry on but where have you heard that laugh before? nothing comes to your mind so when it comes to lunchtime, you go to join your friends. the girl refuses to name you a 'friend' and you sit in silence for the rest of lunch, wondering what's going on and why she hates you.
tori stupid vega's locker
you walk to your locker and look at the handwriting on the door and recognise it from somewhere. but you can't make out where you've seen it. maybe it's from the acting class you'd just attended but they did no writing. something wasn't right about this school and you just want to know what's going on. the girl walks past, smirking along the way at the sight of your locker. you remove the whiteboard and place it into the locker and walk to your next class. you need to find out where you've seen that girl before.
you sit next to a random boy in class because all the seats are taken and you wanted to avoid the girl as much as possible. she goes by the name jade west and you've heard that name somewhere before. it rings a bell but your memory goes blank when your teacher steps foot in the room. you smile, getting on with the work set but your mind goes blank and memories start to come back.
that's when you realise where you've seen the girl before.
when the lesson finishes, you're the first one to leave so you wait by the door and wait for the girl to come out. you smile when she's the last one along with her boyfriend. you stop her from walking off and her boyfriend leaves her alone for a minute. she pulls a face at you and folds her arm, waiting for you to get out her way.
"why are you mean to me but nice to everyone else?" you ask and she frowns.
"because i don't like you?" she puts her arms in the way and tries to get you out the way but you stop her.
"do you remember me?"
she shakes her head but looks into her face probably. you can tell she realises who you are and a smirk forms on her face. you sigh as you realise she'll never like you and become your friend.
"why off course i do vega. i was your childhood best friend but you left me to move to new york and you promised you'd stay in touch with me but you never did. that's why i hate you because you broke a promise. i waited by the door everyday waiting for the post and if i wasn't by the door, i'd be by the phone waiting for you to ring but you never did. you lied to me vega and i'm never going to forgive you for that."
and you remember. you promised to stay in touch with your best friend but you forgot and now she hates you. at least you got the answer to your question on why she hated you.
