The sun gleamed through the window resting upon Lorton's kitchen counter. Lorton prepared his 8am cup of Joe and prepared for the day. His day would go on as usual, he would go fishing, go to work, come home to make dinner and drink a beer while watching the sunset. As he sprinkled tiny grains of sugar into his mug he decided that today he was not going to stick to his routine. Instead, he would skip fishing and in its place he would develop a plan. His plan would need to be perfectly thought out so it could be executed just right. Maybe he would even need to take off of work so he had ample time to think everything through.

His thought process was interrupted as the neighbor's dog began to bark. Quickly he fumbled through his junk drawer and found a notebook and pen. Taking these items and his coffee, he found a comfy spot on his living room couch. He placed his coffee delicately on the end table and opened the notebook. On the first free paper he went to work, scribbling his game plan.

Mission: Steal the gold from Ben Blackshaw and Knocker Ellis

Parties Involved: Ben Blackshaw and Knocker Ellis

Known Information:

Dick Blackshaw was involved in a deal that went downhill

Dick was found dead in the bottom of the Chesapeake bay

Ben found dad while he was searching for oysters

Cause of death appears to be a boating accident

Near Dick Blacksahw's resting place, Ben found boxes full of gold

Ben brought the boxes up to the surface

Knocker Ellis put the gold onto the Miss Dotsy while Ben went back down for the next box

Knocker Ellis and Ben hid the gold somewhere

Ben counted approximately 20 boxes of gold

One box contained a weapon of mass destruction

The Plan:

The Council and I will talk to Ben and devise a share agreement

Ascertain the net worth of the gold

Don't be greedy with your portion of the cash!

You'll get it all in the end!

Stash a getaway boat at an undisclosed location

Have Ben defuse the bomb (or take it off the bomb)

Convince Ben that you and the Council members need to go and collect the gold with him

Once you anchor, play it cool!

Let Ben do all of the hard and dig up the boxes

Tell the men that you will help load the boxes on the Miss Dotsy

Take the last box back to the boat and tell them to hide their tracks by putting sand back in the holes

On the boat, pull up anchor and drive away!

If the men start chasing after you, you may need to use your gun

The Aftermath:

Take Miss Dotsy to an undisclosed location where you stashed the boat

Transfer the boxes onto the boat

Drive the loaded boat to an undisclosed island

Find a new home

Change name

Sell the gold and enjoy the money!

…..

"This is a great plan if I do say so myself!" Lorton chuckled and sipped his coffee. Now that his plan was established he needed to put it into action. He also needed to cover his tracks and make sure no one would find out his mindless scribbles and gibberish. What would he do with the paper?

He looked around the room and searched for the best hiding spot. The couch cushions would be too obvious. Good detectives would think to check for openings in the walls and ceiling. It would take a great detective to look where he was about to hide his plans. Running into the kitchen, Lorton pulled open a cabinet door and grabbed for a ziplock style baggie. He slowly ripped the paper out of the notebook to make sure he didn't rip the whole paper by mistake. Neatly he folded the paper into thirds and slipped it into the baggie. Grabbing tape, he headed towards the bathroom.

Carefully, he lifted the lid to the toilet bowl. On the inside of the lid he delicately taped the baggie with the note to the cold glass. Once completed he flipped the lid over and placed it back on the toilet.
