I got this weird idea when I was discussing about the Dispenser with my brother. And this should be short and contains jealousy. I don't know what will you think about this. I don't know if this has been written before, so if it was, it's a coincidence. Enjoy.
Every single day, there's always pointless war. And he'll build me, I'll provide him more health, ammo and metal. Then he'll go somewhere to build my friend, the Sentry Gun. And then, my master, the Engineer, will come back regularly so I'll stock him up with metal. He'll go back to Sentry and upgrade him.
The only thing I'm sad about Engineer is that after he built me, he'll just go away and do his business, not even upgrading me into a higher level, more convenient Dispenser. If he'd upgraded me, then I can provide him with more metal and health. But no, he just cares about his Sentry. I know the Sentry defends the team, but does he provide health? No.
He also builds a Teleporter exit next to me. I remember that he used to tell me that the mercenaries fight on who gets to use him first. Yes, he's convenient, saves a lot of energy for the mercenaries. But me, on the other hand, I provide metal and more health to any RED mercenaries within range. Anyways, soon after the battle begins, we'll have a level 3 Sentry Gun and a level 1 Dispenser.
What I love about the mercenaries is when they say, "Need a Dispenser here!" or "Put Dispenser here!" I could hear them in the toolbox. But Engineer's "Nope!" shatters my heart. Sometimes he'll upgrade me into a level 2 Dispenser, and I'm already contented about that.
We machines are always at risk of being sapped by the BLU Spy. Whenever we get sapped, blue sparks start to revolve around us, and we feel the life ebbing away from us. We desperately try to get Engineer's attention. Mostly, he doesn't make it. If I die, he'll just declare "Dispenser down!" and that's literally all.
Every night, we take refuge in Engineer's workshop. He'll tinker with Sentry and leaves me and Teleporter alone. So we're basically good friends. So, till the end of the day, Sentry's quality goes up and we're still in square one. We get very jealous about Sentry a lot.
Still, no matter what happens, I love the Engineer, and that's because he still remembers to build me.
