So, I don't remember when I wrote this, but it happened to come to my mind. I hope you enjoy it :D Read and Review, please
She would be lying if she said that Finn was the only boy that had come to the forefront of her mind as she sung "The First Ever I Saw Your Face". She would be lying if her true intentions for singing "Without You" to Finn was not out of pure pity. Of course, she loved Finn and apparently, now they were gettin married. She didn't know how she had gotten into this situation nor, did she have any idea how to get out of this tangled web of lies she had created. She had lost her mind the moment that she had lost Jesse almost a year ago. She didn't know how else to cope so, she ran back to Finn as she always had when times got hard.
It seems rather childish of her, she knows. The thing is she can't seem to care, she's scared of being alone even when she knows that it's inevitable that she end up alone in the end. She knows that Finn knows she will never feel the same way, but he doesn't seem to mind. It's rather irritating to see the whole pack of New Directions shoot her looks of pity when she walks through the door on Finns arm. She knows they know about Quinn and Finn, about Finn and the rather infinite number of girls that he hooks up with on a daily basis. It doesn't hurt her one bit, she's only acting like she's in love with the boy, anyway.
It's funny really because, as much as Finn claims he doesn't care about her, he does. It's evident in everything he does, especially when, he asks her why in the world she isn't jealous or crying about all the girls he's been with, when he asks her if she ever really cared at all. And of course being the great actress she is, she convinces him that it does matter, that it kills her inside, but she pretends to not be fazed by his actions because, she doesn't want anyones pity and it will just show New Directions that they're as broken as they all believe. She follows that with the claim that they aren't broken, not at all because if they were marriage would be the last thing on her mind. He smiles at her then and kisses her, telling her he loves her and that he's never meant to hurt her and that he'll stop whatever it is that he has with Quinn and those girls. He says this to her about twice a week, he never keeps his word. It's getting harder and harder for her to not laugh in his face for believing all the fake shit she spews out, but mostly it kills her inside because, once upon a time, she believed all the bullshit he fed her since the moment they met.
