Title: All I Know is You Make Me Smile
Prompt: A kiss on a bruise
Summary: "That's going to bruise," Percy observed. Piper shrugged, a smile playing on her lips. "Maybe it'll rough up my look a bit."
A/N: I might turn this into a one- shot series. I'm not sure yet. Those types of things never seem to end well for me but we'll see.

All I Know is You Make Me Smile

"Piper!"

Said daughter of Aphrodite couldn't help but grin as a pair of strong arms wrapped around her. The scent of the ocean washed over her, causing all the built up tension to leave her body.

There'd been a whole army- or horde, perhaps might be a better word- of basilisks attacking Half- Blood Hill. Somehow, in all the craziness and confusion, Percy and Piper had gotten separated and it seemed he was happy to see her again.

He pulled back, his smile fading almost instantly when he saw her face. His hands came up to cup her cheeks, his thumbs moving in small circles.

"What is it?" Piper asked, furrowing her brow.

"Your eye!" Percy exclaimed. "What happened?"

It took Piper a moment to realize what he was talking about, but when she did she laughed. Now it was Percy who sent her a confused look.

"I think it's safe to say that the campers were pretty startled by the attack. Some new camper got overly excited and accidentally elbowed me in the eye trying to take down one of the snakes," Piper explained. "It's nothing really."

"That's going to bruise," Percy observed.

Piper shrugged, a smile playing on her lips. "Maybe it'll rough up my look a bit."

Instead of responding, Percy placed a light kiss at the corner of her eye. The warmth that coursed through her veins felt better then ambrosia or nectar ever could.
