He felt a figure shuffling beside him, and a pair of legs dangled over the water in a similar fashion.
"It's not easy."
The boy was disgruntled. What would the old man know anyway? He looked away pointedly, gazing into the clear blue below as ripples formed where his legs kicked. It gave him a sense of… power.
"You can spill it out to me."
A Uchiha deals with problems Himself...
Hate-filled eyes narrowed as a small 'hn' could be heard from the young boy
"I've experienced nearly the same thing."
A Uchiha is special, no one else is like Him...
He stopped swinging his short legs at the edge of the bridge as he slowly closed his eyelids, fists clenched at his sides.
"Hate...grief...sorrow..."
A Uchiha does not identify with others...
The raven-haired boy drew his legs up towards his small body and hugged his knees, ebony black hair shielding his face. He was silent, as he swayed back and forth, the Uchiha symbol proudly displayed on the back of his shirt. That is, with whatever pride a broken clan could have anyway.
White sleeves surrounded him and picked him up before settling him down again in a lap covered with white robes. Just as the Uchiha was about to retaliate, he was rocked back and forth in a fluid motion.
"Just like Kaa-san..." The boy murmured softly, regretfully, as he buried his face in the warmth of the older man, his hands clutching at the white robes desperately as he curled up into a protective ball.
A Uchiha does not cry...
Drip, drip, drip onto the bridge as the liquid soaked the wood through and through, rainwater falling with a light sheen as drops formed puddles, and the boy was still in his lap, and he was still rocking the boy back and forth.
The boy with the raven hair could only shut his eyes as the tears flowed freely, and at the same time,so does his pent up frustration, his grief, his hate, his sorrow...
A Uchiha does not abandon His pride...
The old man traced circles on the back of the small child as tears collected at his chin, then dripping down on the mess of damp, tangled dark hair, the rain soaked through his robes, and he watched the small child before him burst into tears that were long kept, that finally broke the dam that held them back for 7 years.
The Uchiha are gone...
As tears mingled with raindrops, as the sun blanketed the world in gold and red and yellow, as the stars peeked out from behind the clouds, the pair sat there, mourning, grieving – a broken man and a broken child.
