"But Its March!"

Daniel and Teal'c had a plan. It was a little crazy.

General Hammond was in on it too.

It happened on a bright, sunny day in March. SG-1 came over to Daniel's house for some spring cleaning. General Hammond was also invited. He had also told Jack to come.

"General, I do not want to spend my Saturday in Daniel's attic putting books - with titles I don't understand - into box after box!"

"Do I have to make it an order?"

"No, sir."

"You'll enjoy yourself."

Why did he sound so sure? Jack thought as he walked into Daniel's house.

"Hi sir!" Sam said, cheerfully walking up to him.

"Carter, I, Jack the person, am here today. Don't talk to someone I left at home."

"Sorry. Jack. Daniel is this way." She pointed to the stairs. They trudged up.

The next few hours passed slowly. Packing up books with strange title, carrying them downstairs. Sam picked up a box and almost fell over. Jack went over to her.

"Daniel, what's in this?" Sam said.

"All my copies and translations of the Odyssey and the Iliad." Daniel said, without looking up.

"All?" Jack's eyes widened.

"I have it in 17 different languages."

Jack and Sam started down the stairs.

"Hey guys! Look!" Daniel pointed above their heads. "Mistletoe!"

Oh crud. How had that gotten there? They hadn't seen it until then.

"Daniel, why do you have mistletoe in your attic?"

Daniel started to reply, but he was interrupted by Teal'c, of all people.

"I believe the earth custom would be to kiss."

Why had his brother turned on him?

"But it's March!" Jack said.

"He's my superior!"

"March!"

"And it's against the regs!"

"March, I tell you!"

"Do I have to make it an order?" General Hammond said seriously.

Jack and Sam looked at each other.

"Oh, for cryin' out loud! Just kiss me!" Sam said.

He did.

Down the stairs went Daniel's books.

Daniel went after them.

The books, that is.

"The plant'll die before they're done."

"Indeed."
