Chapter One: Big News

Kim's P.O.V.

The warm spring sunlighthit my cold, pale face warming me immediatly. My deep brown eyes squinted before I

blocked the sun from meeting my face again. I tried to walk but my path was blocked by a stiff body. I tilted

my head up to see warm chocolate brown eyes. Jack. He smiled his award winning smile. I giggled stupidly but

after I face palmed myself.

"Going somewhere?" he chuckled.

"I was going home until you blocked my path." I said gesturing to the sidewalk.

"Sorry." he moved beside me.

"Walk with me." I demanded. He grinned and we started to walk.

"So what are you doing this weekend?" he asked.

"I don't know, probably just sitting around watching TV." I shrugged.

"Why don't you come over tonight, the guys can come too." Jack suggested.

"That would be awesome. Let me just go home and ask my mom." I said.

"Why don't you just text her."

"I forgot my phone at home." I told him.

After that conversation we talked about what we were going to do at his house until we go to my house.

We finally got to my house and I told him...

"I will text you if she says yes or no." I said.

"Ok, I hopefully will see you later."

I laughed at his comment and walked into my house.

(Kim only has a mother)The smell of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies filled my nose.

"Mom I'm home." I shouted towards the kitchen.

"Oh good because there is something I need to tell you." she said while walking to me.

"Ok what is it?" I asked.

"This is going to be hard on you." she said. I had a confused look on my face. What was she talking about?

"Honey were moving to Lima, Ohio." she said with worry in her voice.

My eyes widened. This isn't happening, I start to shale my head.

"No, this is not happening." I mumbled.

"Sweety I know this is so sudden but I got a big promotion and it's a once in a life time chance." she said.

"So you are asking me to just throw away my life here in Seaford to go to Ohio?" I shouted.

"This is best for us, and you can meet new friends." she was practically begging now.

"No one can replace my friends here!" I had my face in my hands crying now.

"You will be going to Ohio and thats that!" my mom yelled.

I looked her in the eyes and she to was crying.

"Jack." I whispered to myself.

I ran out the door not paying any attention to my mom. I looked down the street to see a small figure disapearing in the distance.

"JACK!" I shouted towards the speck. I ran to him as fast as I could and he was running to me.

"KIM!" he shouted. We were gettinh closer to each other and I sprinted harder. I got to him and leaped into his warm, comforting arms.

"Kim what's wrong?" he asked.

"I-I a am." I couldn't finish my sentence.

"Kim you can tell me anything." he whispered to me. I was crying even harder then he tilted my chin up with his fingers. I looked into his gentle eyes.

"I-I am moving to Ohio."
