READ: Okay, hai peoples~! (I haven't died! :DDD) Um, I wasn't planning on putting up anything until I updated Bloom in Wonderland or Wizards Remix, but I was eaten. Eaten by the evil beast we know as Freshmen Year of High School. To be very blunt, it sucks. All I've been able to do is eat, do homework, come up with new story ideas that I'll lose in ten seconds, and have horrible sleep patterns. But, I managed to get this done because of an assignment in my Creative Writing Elective class. Thank you, Ms. Briney, you rule!
Today, we were told to write something called a "Microfiction" -yes this does exist oddly enough. It's where you have to go and write a short story type thingy in a certain amount of words or less. We were given the limit of 300 words so I wrote one with 287. I wasn't able to give that much detail, but I'll give you the basics:
This is in Baltor's point of view of after the final battle in season 3. This is my first guy-pov fic too, so, sorry if it sucks monkey's bananas. Also, I may do some editing to it later, depending on how I feel. Anywhoooo...
Here we goes~
DISCLAIMER: I own nothing sadly. If I did then that would be pretty interesting...
It was amazing really –how strong of a hold the girl had on me. How after just a few conversations and looks, she caught the one thing that only one person can actually catch on another.
Peering through the leaves and branches, I stared down at her as she danced with her friends and other classmates. It was obvious what they were celebrating. My death.
I wondered what would happen if they knew the truth for a split second but instantly shoved the thought out of my mind. Instead of going away though, it slowly crawled back, but more specific: What would happen if she knew?
My thoughts were interrupted as the blonde-haired specialist came up to my red-haired firefly and pulled her close to him. I narrowed my eyes as she laughed at his action, clearly enjoying it. I sneered but was taken aback when he leaned down to kiss her.
My hands gripped the branches tightly as I restrained myself from jumping down and killing the boy. I envied him. Every day he woke up knowing he had the girl who was someone's world.
The girl who had become my world.
I sighed in defeat though as the cold, harsh reality struck me in the core my heart. My grip went slack and all of my support came from the tree.
As I looked at her and that boy, I knew it was certain: She would never be mine.
I slunk back into the shadows, tears stinging my eyes as I caught a last glimpse of her. She looked happy. That was all that truly mattered anyway.
Before disappearing completely, I whispered useless words that I knew she'd never hear: "Au revoir, ma livre fin."
If you don't know the French in the only piece of dialogue in this piece, then I suggest you become acquainted with Google Translate. It'll make more sense. And it will become your best friend when trying to understand foreign languages. :D
Next off, I will try to update something ASAP I just need some help. So, if anyone would like to, just ask me when you review -hint hint- and I'll take you into consideration. This may be the only time you ever see me asking for help because I am seriously desperate.
But, please review and let's pray that I return soon. Byee!
