On the outside, I'm a regular 12-year old Pokémon Trainer. But, on the inside, I'm a chosen Trainer with a bond to a legendary Pokémon. It all began on a sunny day in Sinnoh. I live in a house at Valor Lakefront with my Pokémon to keep me company. My parents live in Pastoria City and sometimes come to check up on me. I was at Lake Valor, staring at the lake and feeding any Pokémon that came up to me. A Growlithe came up to me and looked at my Poffin basket. I said, "Of course you can have a Poffin," while petting its head. I chose a Sweet n' Spicy poffin, which I knew this Growlithe liked because it always came up to me with the same look.

Just when I gave the Growlithe the poffin, a blue light began covering my eyes like oil. Suddenly, I could see again! I stood up, looking around. I saw the outline of a majestic shape. I tried to run towards the shape, when I heard a loud roar come from it. The shock waves blasted me out of whatever realm that was. I came back to my conscious mind and noticed that I had fallen asleep. The Growlithe was cocking its head to one side, as if to say, "Are you okay?" I told the Growlithe, "I'm fine, don't worry about me." But inside my mind, I was thinking, 'What was that figure I saw? Oh well, I guess was nothing important.' But, the vision haunted me at night, literally! I kept having the vision every night. Every time, the outcome was the same: See outline, run towards the figure, figure roars, jump up as if just escaped from a nightmare, shrug it off, go back to sleep.

Ten days later:

I was at Lake Valor, feeding a Starly a sweet Poffin when I saw it freeze. In fact, every thing around me had frozen. The trees had stopped rustling and all the Pokémon had stopped moving. The unimaginable had happened, time had stopped! Suddenly, a swirling vortex of dark and light blue appeared in front of me. Out came a figure with the exact same outline from my visions. All of a sudden I know what the figure is! It was the legendary Pokémon Diagla. I bowed, knowing I was in the presence of the master time.

'You can get up now.'

"Who said that?"

'I did'

"Ok, now that so we have that settled. Why are you here? I'm no one important or powerful.'

'That is not exactly true'

"What do you mean?"

'You are more special than you think'

"Meaning?," with a little pinch of attitude.

'I chosen you to become my bond'

"What did you say?!"

'I said, I have chosen you to become my bond'

"I heard it the first time. I'm just a little bit shocked that you've chosen me for anything. I just have a question. What exactly is a bond?"

'Well, it means quite a few things. One, you can telepathically contact me from anywhere. Two, you can control time with enough practice. Finally, I can allow you to see through my eyes.

"You mean I can control time!!!"

"Yes, that's correct"

"Are there other bonds?"

'Yes, there are. So far Lugia, Moltres, Suicune, and Palkia have bonds. All the others are searching for theirs.

"Should I tell anybody?"

'No, but you'll know if someone is bonded because they'll have a mark on one of their hands.`

"Thank you for this wonderful opportunity."

'You're welcome. By the way, what is your name?'

"Daniel, but you can call me Dan for short."
