Perfect Present
One Shot
Troy had found the perfect present for Gabriella unknown to their friends they had been dating for the past two years. Everyone had always said that Troy and Gabriella were the unlikeliest pair to get together. So they hadn't told them. But they were the perfect match. They were in love. So on the Christmas Troy had the perfect present. The gang had meet up the evening of Christmas Day to exchange their gifts to each other.
Unbeknown to her Troy had a present that was going to change her life.
The gang had come together at the Montez's.
They exchange presents and laughter and Christmas day stories.
Until it is time for Troy to give Gabriella her present.
He passes her a small red gift box tied with gold ribbon. She looks at it cursorily and looks at Troy. He smiles reassuringly and she pulls off the ribbon.
Everyone leans forward to look but Gabriella keeps the box close as she take of the lid and gasps, her eyes filling with tears.
Troy holds his breath as he watches Gabriella studied the 14k yellow gold engagement ring that had a diamond in the centre and 5 more diamonds that were placed along the curve of the ring.
Gabriella looks up and locks eyes with him.
"I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you," said Troy
Everyone else in the room gasped at the revelation while Gabriella shouted yes and launched herself at Troy.
It was then as Troy took the ring out of the box and slid it onto Gabriella's finger that everyone realized what was in the box and what they had just witnessed.
While everyone was staring at each other they didn't see the couple in front of them share a passionate kiss before Gabriella ran out of the room and shouting Mum and Dad.
So with the bride to be out of the room all eyes turned to the groom to be demanding an explanation.
But that was a story for later when Gabriella came back into the room.
It was a new beginning, new family in the Montez household and a very Merry Christmas.
