Only in our home.
...
"Do you hear that?" Luna whispered suddenly.
"No. What?" Ginny yawned as she snuggled deeper under the covers.
Luna placed her feet gently on the soft carpet and padded out of the bedroom. Luna padded through the hallway and into the kitchen to inspect the noise further. The kitchen, as usual, was of course filled with sound. However only one of them was annoying her. A sound only audible to Luna.
Luna, being the peculiar person she was, decided to stop not just the noise annoying her but also the noise that should be but wasn't annoying everyone else.
She tightened the dripping tap, closed the fridge so that the buzzing noise would stop, let Oven mitt out of his cage and put tea towels between the gaps in the window so that the wind would stop whistling through.
"Hrm..." Luna mumbled.
Now to fix her own noise problem.
Luna took a tea towel from the pantry and placed it on the table.
"Almost done." She smiled triumphantly.
"Oven mitt?" She whispered.
The grey tawny owl flew to her quietly to which she promptly scribbled a note and placed it on the birds leg. Now it was time for bed.
Luna padded back into the bedroom and slid into the bed she shared with Ginny along with a yawn before snuggling down. Ginny leaned into Luna with a sigh.
"Did you find the noise?" Ginny whispered tiredly.
"Oh yes." Luna yawned.
"Well?" Ginny whispered.
"No cause for alarm. It was merely a dripping tap, open buzzing fridge and whistling wind." Luna said.
"Just?" Ginny asked.
Luna thought for a moment.
"Did I mention Harry Potter is asleep in our kitchen window with his head on our bench? It's okay though. I shoved tea towels in the open window gaps to stop the noise from annoying you like it should be. Then I fixed the noise that was bothering me. It was only silly, shouldn't have bothered me at all but I couldn't sleep through it. It was just your brother George asleep on our dining room table. The sound of his drool hitting it was really annoying and so I shoved a tea towel under his mouth to stop the sound. Don't worry though. I sent Angelina and Cho an owl to let them know." Luna finished with a yawn.
Ginny was now wide awake.
