Seeing Him
Note: This takes place during CH 17 in Deathly Hallows.
The wind blew around the little house that a once happy family had lived.
Lily stood there trying to figure out why she was here. Finally, Lily headed toward the little metal gate in front of the quant house. She had just realized she had not been here for sixteen years and the house had changed drastically.
She looked around at the rest of her surroundings and realized it was Christmas Eve because they all had wreaths and she heard singing in the distance. But she could not figure out why she was here (after all she had died in this house sixteen years ago anther holiday). Yes, Lily was dead and that's why she couldn't make sense of why now after sixteen years she had appeared in front of her once beautiful home that was now destroyed.
She tried to grab the gate when she reached it but she couldn't of course, she thought, 'I'm a ghost or something'. So Lily just stood there waiting because she knew she had been called here for a reason.
Finally two people arrived in front of the house. They couldn't see her so she just watched. They had been disguised Lily noticed but Lily's sense made them fade so she could see who they really were.
One was a girl with brown, curly hair, the other a boy with black hair and green eyes that Lily noticed as her own. She felt tears slide down her face as she looked at her son for the first time.
She knew why she had been called to the place of her murder, her old home, to see her son. She knew he was thinking of her as she saw her own feelings reflected in his face where he wiped a tear.
Suddenly the scene was vanishing and Lily knew she was returning to the dead, but she was glad she had finally seen her son for the first time since her death.
