Hi People!

This is a oneshot I decided to do spur-of-the-moment.

I know I should be working on Mello's New roomate, but I felt like doing this.

Yeah I didn't edit this really that much, and it's a little cheesy...^^;

So R&R Please!

Mello looked right into Matt's eyes. "Matt," he said. "I need...To tell you something..."

The redhead wondered what Mello was trying to say. "What?" he said looking into Mellos eyes as well.

"Matt...I...I..." the blonde bit his bottom lip. He was too scared. He couldn't tell Matt he still loved him. That would definitely destroy the friendship they currently shared.

Matt realized something. Maybe Mello's...Trying to tell me he loves me...Could it be possible he does? No. He couldn't love me...Not after what I did. I can't even believe that we're friends again... But still, that little bit of hope that Mello loved him back allowed him to keep listening. "You what, Mello?"

Mello took a deep breath. He had to tell him how he felt. "Matt...I-"

Bang! Bang bang bang!

Mellos eyes were frozen in alarm, and so were Matt's. Mello dropped down to his knees. Then he fell to his side, and rolled onto his back. Matt's face was of pure horror. "Mello!!!" he yelled as he bent over, kneeling, and shook Mello. "Mello! Are you okay?!" he didn't look okay.

Mello's head turned toward Matt. "Matt..." he said hoarsely. "It's the police. They're here." Sure enough, when Matt looked around, he saw the police.

"Young man," said one. "Please step away!"

Matt didn't budge. He looked back at Mello. Mello managed a small, sad smile. "Matt..."

"What is it?" he asked desperately. He lowered his head so his face was right in front of Mello's.

"I...Love you, Matt."

Matt eyes filled with tears as the words sunk into him. "Mello...I love you too..."

Mello's smile grew a little, and he closed his bright, blue eyes.

"...Mello...?" The redhead asked warily. "Mello? Mello! Wake up! No! You can't leave me! I can't live without you!" Tears ran down Matt's face as he begged Mello to still be alive. "Don't worry, Mello." He said determined. "I'll be with you soon..." Matt reached down, and took the gun from the front of Mello's pants. He held the gun to the side of his head. He unclicked the safety, and began to pull little by little. Suddenly, the gun was pulled from his hands.

"I'm sorry, but I can't let you do that." said one of the policemen.

But Matt was ready for this. He pounced on the office, took the gun, held it to his chest, and pulled the trigger.

Bang!

As Matt fell to the ground, a pleased smile found its way onto his face. He had done it. He knew it was the right thing to do.

For without Mello, there will be no Matt.
