She sat reading late at night, wondering about him. He wouldn't leave her mind lately. Did she still love him? She,a girl of only 16, in love? It didn't seem possible but impossible things happen all the time. He, a boy of only 19, in love with her? More like not anymore.
Her mind was wandering, when the dogs began to bark and bark. Putting her book down, she got up and walked outside. What she saw, scared her but then she realized it was him. She rushed to his side and brought him inside. She took him to the game room and sat him on the couch.
"What are you doing? You'll catch your death!"
"Don't worry. I had to come see you...Tenten."
"But why?" She asked with a look of shock.
The boy just looked at her as he began to shivering. Tenten grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around his shoulders. He still hadn't answered and Tenten wasn't sure why. She began to grow worried.
"Neji-" she was cut off by the boy crashing his lips to hers.
At first her eyes widened in shock but then she slowly closed her eyes and melted into the kiss.
The boy broke away and smiled.
"Tenten, you silly girl, it's because I love you." Neji said.
Tenten blinked and tried to take in what had just happened. She was in shock and now it was Neji's turn to worry. He didn't know what to do until Tenten crashed her lips to his.
When she pulled away she said,"Silly? Neji you're the silly one for not knowing that I've always loved you."
She had tears in her eyes as she looked away.
"Ten?" Neji asked.
"I may have always loved you but you were never there for me."
"Tente-"
He got interrupted by Renren glaring at him as she drew out a kuni. She looked him dead in the eyes and with a quick movement started for her heart.
"Tenten! Stop!" Neji said as he grabbed her wrist but just a little to late.
The kuni went deep into her chest. All the while Neji was frozen.
"Tenten…why?" He asked.
Her last words were, "Because Neji I couldn't take this any more. You were too late to save me…"
With that her eyes closed and Neji began to cry as he hugged her close to him.
