So Wrong
Harry/Harry
It was wrong. He knew that, told himself that every time. But every time he told himself, he made reasons why it wasn't. He could only imagine what Hermione would say; if it would be any different than what he would get should he go out right then and asked.
He gazed down at the sleeping face beneath him and decided it didn't matter. The day he made his decision is the day he gave up his Hermione and Ron. Sometimes he regretted that the most, other times he felt that was a positive consequence to his meddling in time.
He can't say he planned for any of it to happen. After third year when Hermione introduced him to time turners with the warning of dire consequences should your younger self see you, he couldn't help but wonder why. Most of what he could find said it was because your younger self wasn't expecting it and the absolute shock affected your magic somehow. But they lived in a world of magic, how could he be shocked if he saw himself?
So he didn't get his answers, but life beckoned in ways he couldn't ignore unless he felt like dying that he let it be. But after the defeat of Voldemort, he no longer feared death and he certainly didn't have any other pressing concerns. So he returned to that thought and, going against Hermione's warnings - the massive amount there was - he decided to find out what would happen.
He decided to return to the end of third year, as that was when he had the thought. He was still alive, so clearly he didn't die. But for him, it was almost like everyone else has. By being seen by his younger self, he had erased his history from that point on. Hermione and Ron hadn't gone through all of their trails together; Remus barely knew him and didn't even know Tonks.
He was lost in a world so similar and so different from his own, he only had his other self to rely on as meeting himself was like meeting an entirely new person. They shared experiences up to that point, but he was now on the outside of it, not the inside.
Of course, know what to come, he certainly impacted the future and things turned out much differently. Everyone was different then how the turned out the first time, he was no exception. His younger self was much different than him. Maybe that was what attracted him to him in the first place. Who knows, all he knew was that life changed and went on and somehow ended up with him in a bed with himself contemplating life. He supposed that alone wouldn't be that odd, if it wasn't for the fact that mere hours earlier, their bed hadn't been used for sleeping.
He's not sure if he'll ever know how he fell in love with himself or if it'll ever stop feeling like it's wrong. All he knows is that he never felt more loved then when he was with Harry Potter, himself but a few years younger.
