I don't own Harry potter or its characters
I do own this plot since I've daydreamed about it during science class.
Here she was again, thinking about him. Hermione couldn't begin to think about how many countless nights had been wasted thinking about him. If only there was a spell to turn back time to stop her from making her worst mistake.
Her 16-year old-self would be shocked to know that her present 18-year-old self was in love with a Malfoy.
After the war, Ron had asked Hermione for her hand in marriage. She had flirted with Malfoy beforehand and had realized…she had fallen in love with him. It seemed Draco had been mean to her and her friends because his father had beaten him if he didn't. He really was a kind soul inside.
Yet, she could trust Ron with her life. And Ron loved her so much as he told her every night. So of course she had said yes to Ron's life-altering question. Harry had married Ginny soon after. Fate had been so cruel, letting her remember every detail at Harry and Ginny's reception. She had been drunk and could tell what was going on, yet she couldn't stop herself from what she had did…
Flashback
There was the sexy god himself, Draco Malfoy. She was ecstatic Harry had made amends with him after the war. Blaise Zambini made another toast, and Hermione chcugged her full glass of champagne.
Draco moved in closer to her and drawled, "Well it seems the bookworm has finally crawled out of her shell, or book."
She laughed along to his lame joke, looking into his icy-blue eyes.
He leaned closer to her, "You look beautiful, Granger. Are you free tomorrow night?"
An image blurred into her drunken mind of Ron on one knee. "I'm engaged!" She slurred.
Draco's stiff-mask slipped for a second. It showed that he was close to tears. She was taken aback. Even drunk Draco would never cry or slip up. He turned around and left the club in haste.
Hermione's consience yelled, "You dolt! You're supposed to be smart! Look what you've done!"
She reached out her arms, her vision black and fainted.
End Flashback
Hermione cried herself to sleep. Thanking the darkness gave her some feeling of forgiveness from the crime she had done to herself and him.
If she hadn't done that she wouldn't have been single right now. She imagined him sleeping with pug-faced Pansy in her dreams. It turned out Ron had fallen in love with Luna and her curious ways. A week before the wedding he broke the news to Hermione.
"Why?...Why." Hermione mumbled in her sleep.
Little did she know who was standing outside her window. He had been there every night since the marriage had been annulled.
Everyone knew Wizard Engagements were even frailer than even going steady. And with her position in school, she of course knew. Hermione was probably still disgusted with him.
The white-blond wizard turned around. He had been trying to forget her since that day at Harry and Ginny's reception. But she was like his drug. One look at her angelic face gave him bliss, until he had to steal just one more glance 24 hours later.
The two sighed in unison. Engraved in their minds was doubt. The two souls whispered to the rain, "They would never love me…After what I've done."
Oooo. Did you get goose-bumps? If you did...Review! If you didn't...Review more! You know you wanna! ;)
