It isn't my own text. I'm only translating it. In original it was writen in Polish.

The main character and the narrator is Alice. The story happens when she is a human and she stays at mental hospital. It's like a diary in which she notes her cogitations. Author's idea for this text was to show the problems that stick in a humane psyche.

Thanks to vampassassin for correct my mistakes.

DARK CHOCOLATE

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.

William Blake

Prologue

My life is like a path of suspense: acute corners and moments of happiness. It overflows with a dab of folly, flows with the sweet chocolate of riveting and interesting conversations which bring the desired relief for my heart.

My history is the only of its kind: intriguing, unfulfilled and with an awaited end. This end is still awkward to think about.

All in all, almost the same as yours.

Being harmed by my own family, killed by darling people and hounded like a dog; I've ended up in the centre of hell and my heart, in spite of a huge pain, which convulses and gnaws at it, still loves my family. Tears in my eyes, look at their receding backs and I laugh seeing their eyes gazing into my own. Counting the diamonds in their hair, which dissolve at the arms of the swelling sun, I laugh.

But when they see the intense green on my mother's irises, which shine with cold, dry strength, I can see the face of the sad and wasted girl who lives trying in vain to answer one question:

"Why does nobody believe in a better tomorrow?"
