A/N: err, crappy kawoshin drabble written when my love for foreign languages went a little crazy. Don't ask me why Kaworu is Italian he just is (I guess it would have made more sense to make him German or something though). I apologize if something isn't accurate, I used google translate :x

"Ti piacerebbe mangiare a pranzo insieme?" The silver haired boy smiled ever so gently at the quiet brunette. He was met with a confused expression.

"Huh? Can you say that again?" spoken slowly and clearly. An understanding smile met the reply. "Lunch?" The soft voice spoke in Shinji's language with a heavy accent.

Shinji gave a bright smile. "Oh, sure!" He couldn't place exactly why, but Shinji was always more than eager to spend time with Kaworu whenever and wherever. He was at ease around the foreign student, like he could take a second to be placid.

"How are you doing, Kaworu? Is everyone being nice to you?" Shinji knew the boy was kind enough to others, though his boundaries were a little fuzzy from time to time.

"sì. They are sempre bello," Kaworu said after swallowing a drink of his box carton chocolate milk. Shinji chuckled. "Good".

"Buono"

"Happy"

"Felice" Shinji burst into laughter. He loved their little moments where Kaworu taught him bits of his native language. They just tossed words back and forth until someone started laughing, usually Shinji.

"Si fa davvero ridere così facilmente?" Kaworu chuckled to himself.

Wiping the tears from his eyes, Shinji's focus shifted towards Kaworu, giving such a wholehearted smile that Kaworu couldn't tear his eyes away from his slender classmate.

"Teach me something else," he asked, his eyes filled with a very simple, but beautiful happiness.

"Penso im innamorato di te," Kaworu spoke very softly, almost a whisper.

Shinji smiled and shook his head. "What's that mean?"

Kaworu laid a gentle hand on Shinji's shoulder, speaking with a very thick accent again, "It means 'I like having lunch with you" Shinji laughed again. "Me too, Kaworu. You're really easy to be around".

It was Kaworu's turn to laugh. "anche tu"
