Who Are You?
Note: This is just one point in time, James stopped acting like this after a while.
"James!" I cried. He still didn't snap out of his trance. This wasn't like him, especially since Harry was born.
I wonder what happened to who I knew
For I no longer know
I remember the days when he was the man I loved, but now he almost seems cold-hearted. He used to have a pure heart and a sense of humor; both seem to be gone, or buried deep within him.
Your eyes once bore a love
Who is this man who looks like my husband?
Who are you
Yes, I don't know
I mourn of my loss, for I miss the old James.
I miss who I knew
But is he you?
"JAMES!" I screamed. Finally I got a response.
"Lily, I'm sorry! I was just deep in thought!"
This had happened too many times. "What thought is worth more than Harry and I?" That was an unanswered question.
Questions unanswered only lead to confusion
The confusion which tears us apart
I doubt I will ever know why he hurt me like he did.
I will always wonder
Why you broke my heart
Again I wonder who this stranger is.
Who are you?
Yes, I don't know
I wonder why he changed.
I miss who I knew
But is he you?
He looks the same, but I know that's the only resemblance he bears to the man I loved.
Your physical form remains the same
Your heart has been
changed, thoughYour heart is cold remains
I won't forget who he was and how different he is now.
You aren't who you once were
I want to know who my husband is!
Author's Note: I wrote this late at night when I was thinking about Randi (she once was my best friend). I didn't know whether I was mad or sad because in the end I had no idea who she was, which caused me to write the poem/song. I however have an explanation. Randi had a personality I liked and one I didn't, in the end evil conquered good.
Disclaimer: I only own the poem/song, of which I'm proud of myself for! Everything else belongs to J.K Rowling.
