An attempt at "fan" poetry. This is what I think Bill Kaulitz could have meant by saying the words, "Nobody wants me" during the Elle Japan interview. Inspired by: "Ich Bin Nicht Ich", "Fur Immer Jetzt", and "Alien" by Tokio Hotel.

FYI: This poem won Best Poetry in the THUS Spring Fan Fiction Awards 2012

Nobody Wants Me

Why don't you look at me?
No, just me.
Not what you think you know;
Not what you want to see.
Don't believe them.
Appearances are not
Always what they seem.

On stage,
All smiles.
Posing for cameras,
Looking sexy.
Dreams within my grasp-
Have every reason to be
Happy.

Some call me
A god,
Idol of thousands.
Some label me
A freak,
Can't even spell "Tokyo".

Synonym of perfection,
Or maybe just gay.

Masses love,
Other hate.
But in the end-
No one knows.

How could they know?

They pretend,
Have me all figured out.
Know everything about me;
What I think,
What I want,
What I am-
But they are not me.

I am not me.

So come find me!
Look beyond the happy,
The makeup, the fake-
And just see me.

I am not perfect.

Please-
Let me breathe,
Let me make mistakes,
Let me be
Real.

Take me as I am,
Realize-
I am human
Just like you.

Do you feel me?

I have fears.
Afraid of disappointing,
Afraid of being alone,
Afraid of not knowing.

I am not
Who you think I am, and
Who you think I am,
Is not me.

Nobody knows-
My flaws, my imperfections,
Who I am when I'm alone.
Nobody tries-
To reach beneath the lies,
And find my soul.
Nobody wants-
Me.

Now make some noise, Aliens, and review. Ta. :)
