Tonks burst through the portrait and into the Room of Requirement.
"Tonks!" said Ginny.
"I thought you were at home with Teddy?" asked Hermione.
"My mums with him," Tonks answered.
"I couldn't bear not knowing… Where is he?" she asks.
"Last time I saw him he was duelling Dolohov," answered Harry.
Tonks ran out, through the hallways and down to the great hall, where she saw multicoloured lights flashing everywhere, heard screams and cries. She frantically searched for her husband.
"REMUS!" she screamed.
"Tonks! What are you doing 'ere?" a voice called.
"Fleur! Have you seen Remus?" asked Tonks, running over to the part Veela.
"No, I am sorry, I 'ave not," she answered.
The two women ducked under a curse and someone yelled "FLEUR!"
"I must go, I wish you the best of luck finding your 'usband," she said and ran off.
"REMUS!" she yelled again.
"DORA!" came a shout somewhere to her left.
She ran over, eyes frantically searching for Remus. Finally she saw him and ran over, hugging him with all her strength.
"Where's Teddy?" asked Remus, pulling her to the side.
"With my mum," she answered.
"I couldn't bear not knowing…" she trailed off.
He pulled her close and they kissed, wrapping their arms around each other.
"Together," she said when they broke apart.
"Together," he confirmed.
"I love you Remus," she said.
"I love you too Dora," he replied.
They headed out onto the battle field, getting drawn into two separate fights. Remus was duelling Dolohov and Tonks was duelling another masked Death Eater. Tonks won her battle and rushed to Remus's aid.
She found him just as Dolohov yelled "AVADA KEDAVRA!" and Remus wasn't fast enough.
"I LOVE YOU DORA!" he said his last words.
"REMUS!" yelled Tonks, tears running down her face.
"Tonks, you can't help him now," yelled a voice but she ran faster.
She collapsed on his body after Dolohov was gone. She sobbed, tears running onto his chest. Sobbing uncontrollably, she didn't hear the footsteps of someone behind her.
"I love you Remus," she murmured before hearing her evil cousin scream "AVADA KEDAVRA!" and Tonks was no more.
