Bella sighed as she spoke to herself "I never gave it much thought, moving to Malibu. I have heard the stories that have come out of that place, but I didn't actually think any of them would be true. I heard, that the rich and famous lived along side the famous beaches, that wealth and power was everything and that girls owned a black belt in bitching. I know the sun loves the city, unlike my home town, Everett in Washington but hey, this was California. I am going to be attending the famous Shady Palms High. Mum says I would get a decent education there but I wasn't so sure."
Bella took a deep breath and continued "When my mum would pull up in front of the school, I knew something was up. Every kid in the parking lot was staring and I didn't know what at. Obviously, they could tell we were strangers and in big cities like Malibu, strangers meant gossip and gossip led to wild imaginations."
Mrs. McKenzie cut the engine and spoke to her two kids "Bella here we are. Remember you are sixteen years old. Casey look out for Bella"
Bella said while she was looking out the window "I know mum. I will act like a normal teenager."
Casey shook his hair out of his face before saying "When don't I look out for her?"
Mrs. McKenzie let a single tear fall down her face "You will be staying with your grand parents; I better go so Go get them kiddos.
Bella whispered "Thanks mum. I love you and will miss you."
Casey took in a deep breath holding back tears "I love you and will miss you."
Bella and Casey got out of the Car and Slammed their doors. They both turned back to look at their mother and waves goodbye discreetly to her.
