A Kind Of Real Family Chapter 1
"I just couldn't leave her there Billy! You didn't see how they were treating her! He grabbed her. What kind of sick dad grabs and yanks their daughter?" Mindy was trying to explain why she had brought Becky back to the house. "Honey, I love you for this but you do realise that there is a very real chance her mom won't come back? She will have nowhere to go! Baby, I don't think you've thought this through..." Billy loved Mindy and how caring she had become since having his baby but sometimes she didn't think before she did things. "Whatever mother can leave their child with those people doesn't deserve that girl. Billy, I don't care what you do but I'm keeping her and there is nothing you can do to stop me!" Mindy flounced out of the room hearing the baby crying.
Becky felt completely wrong, like she was using them. She didn't want to be a burden but somehow always was, except with Tim, he always wanted to be around her just because he wanted to do but didn't have to. She heard soft knocking on the door. "Come in," she answered. "Hey Becks, I just want you to know that you are welcome to stay here forever. We love having you as a part of our family." Billy spoke from the heart and hoped Becky heard him when he was speaking because he really wanted to add that he would love for her to view him in father-daughter relationship. "Thanks, people have never really cared this much before. It's really nice." Becky felt tears begin to flow and Billy rushed over to her bed enveloping her in a rib-crushing hug. They stayed like that until Mindy came in and started forming it into a group hug.
"You know what Becky, we're kind of a real family with you here now." Mindy told her. So the kind of real family watched a movie, Becky sat in the middle with arms from both adults around her feeling comfortable for the first time since Tim went to prison. She thought about him constantly and wondered what he would think once he saw what had happened with Billy, Mindy and Becky.
So what should happen next?
