Phili-tan looked out of the window, half expecting to see the dark-haired Spaniard he'd been living with for almost three hundred years, with his easy and bright smile. His clumsiness sometimes eases Phili's bouts of depression.

"Hey, Phili." he heard someone call him. At first he thought it was the Spaniard, but when he turned to look, it was the blonde American, his "Savior" from tyranny and oppression. Phili smiled up at him.

"Would you like some coffee?" America said as he makes himself one.

"I don't mind, America-san." Phili replied. America pursed his lips at the way Phili had addressed him, but he chose to ignore it and made the other fellow a cup of coffee too. The blonde handed it to Phili, who sipped on it quietly.

America studied Phili quietly. "Spain really had you go through a lot huh." he said finally. "You're not much of a conversationalist."

"I'm sorry, America-san." Phili stammered. "It's just that...Spain..."

"Do you miss him?"

Phili looked straight at America's eyes at this. It was a while before he replied. "N...no...Not after all I've been through."

America smiled kindly at him. "It's ok; you can start a new life here with me."

America stood up. "I'll be in my room if you'll need me, ok? Don't be a stranger. You're now part of my family." The last word seemed to be really bitter on America's tongue. Phili watched him go before he finishied drinking his coffee. When he finally finished it and set the cup down, the phone rang.

Spain feels heavy at heart. He had just recently lost Phili, his beloved "little brother" whom he found in the South East Asia, to America because of his family and house are in ruins and he wants Phili to have a better life.

Spain sighed as he remembered those days they had spent together. Phili's smile, admiration towards him, and his wanting to be a part of Spain's house forever. He only wished they had separated in a much better way. If only his Boss and the others had not mistreated Phili while he was still with them, he would have not rebelled against him and go to America...

Spain found himself dialing America's home number. Thanks to America's help, his house is in a much better state compared to before, even if the cost of America's help costs him his happiness. Spain played with the telephone cord as he waited for the other line to pick up.
