A/N: Okay, so since Stahl asks for a hairbrush when I go to buy items, this idea popped into my head. Also, I like to think that in this little story, Stahl and Robin are sort of already a couple. Hope you enjoy it. :)

Fire Emblem (c) Intelligent Systems

Whenever the Shepherds get the opportunity to go to the market, Robin hears requests on what to purchase while also keeping in mind what the necessities for the group are. Every member has their different requests, of course – Maribelle wants the most expensive tea along with a pricey purchase of silk bonnets and Gaius constantly wants a variety of sweets, just to name some of the more outrageous ones.

Despite such requests, the only thing Robin has ever noted her fiancée Stahl to ask for is a hairbrush. This has led to a heightened curiosity since the first time they met and therefore, her current situation of standing awkwardly outside his tent.

With a short intake of breath, Robin pulls a smooth, wooden brush from one of her various pockets to make sure it still exists before returning it to her cloak and walks in quietly to be welcomed by the sight of Stahl staring upwards at nothing absent mindedly. "Ah… Stahl?" Robin speaks slowly to make sure he is still present and capable of coming back to the world she inhabits.

"Huh? Oh, hey Robin!" Stahl replies suddenly with a bright smile overcoming his face and looks at the woman at the front of the tent. "Did you need something?"

"Oh, no, I'm just here to give you something," Robin says with a smile of her own and takes no time in revealing the brush from the folds of her voluminous cloak. "I know you've been asking for one, so I figured I'd finally get it for you."

"Really? Thanks!" He remarks enthusiastically and grabs it from her hands happily and begins looking it over, not leaving any inch of it unexamined. All Robin can do is stare at him then in awe and wait in anticipation to see him start brushing his hair – it looks so soft and not at all like it needs brushing, except maybe that cowlick of his, even though it has a charming aspect to it for her.

When Stahl finally notices Robin is still present and blatantly keeping her eye on him, he forms a large smile and asks, "Is there something else?"

A bit hesitant at first, Robin takes a moment to reply, "Well, I was just wondering why you wanted a brush of all things."

"Oh, well... it's a bit embarrassing," He says and chuckles with a faint blush coming to the surface on his cheeks and ears. He pauses and Robin briefly realizes that he has no immediate intention of revealing why and she considers leaving, but abandons the idea by Stahl's sharp intake of breath. "To be honest, I was hoping I'd get to brush your hair…."

"H-Huh? My hair?" Robin replies almost instantly and finds herself in a state of shock considering that her hair is nothing impressive compared to his, it was always up. When he nods, Robin hesitates then replies, "Well, if you really want to, I don't mind…."

Stahl then smiles joyfully and has a twinkling in his eye as he watches Robin shyly pull the tie out of her hair to let her brunette locks fall past her small shoulders. He then grabs her small hand with his large ones and leads her to his bed and sits with her. He carefully moves all her hair to her back and starts to brush through her locks in a way that reflects their relationship - tender and careful.

With her eyes now closed, Robin lets out a small hum of satisfaction as she revels in the feeling of someone brushing her hair for the first time - that she can remember at least. It is pleasant and relaxing and considering the tremendous weight on her shoulders put there by Chrom and his expectations, this is a nice way to spend her free time. That is why it is no surprise when she finds that she stays there for nearly an hour in contempt bliss.
