"Right Reasons."

Summary: Rachel and Finn have a talk while Beth is being born.

Rachel looked at everyone who was in the waiting room. One person caught her eye. Finn Hudson. He was standing in the back, away from everyone. He looked sad, confused, and hurt. She walked over and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"It's okay to be upset." She told him. He shook his head. "I'm a leader of this group. I have to stay strong for everyone else." Finn explained. "Do you want to go talk in the hallway?" She suggested. He nodded and followed her out so they could be alone.

"I'm not upset." He told her. She sighed. "Finn..." She started. But was cut off. "I'm hurt. And Confused, and I don't understand the world sometimes. Like, I don't understand why I still love the baby. She's not mine." He sighed.

"Your always going to love her. You thought she was your's for four months." Rachel told him. Finn looked at the ground. "Is it always going to hurt this much when I look at them?" He asked. "Look at who?" She wondered.

"Quinn and Puck. Am I ever going to be able to look at them the same way again?" He asked again. Rachel shrugged. "Maybe, I'm not sure. But something tells me someday, you'll be able to forgive them." She smiled.

He looked at the floor. "When will it stop hurting?" He asked quietly. By now, they were standing on opposite sides of the hallway. Neither one looking at each other. Rachel breathed in. "It will eventually stop hurting. Not soon, but eventually, you won't think about it as often. But, I'm not going to lie. The pain will always be there." Rachel explained in a sweet tone.

Finn nodded, and walked over to her, pulling her into a hug. "I meant what I said. I really do love you." He said into her hair. "I love you too." She smiled and kissed his forehead.

"You know Finn, someday you'll be here for the right reasons. It won't be any time soon, but someday, you'll be here for your baby, and you'll actually get to raise that baby." Rachel smiled. Finn smiled to. But at a different thought.

He smiled at the thought of Rachel having his baby, someday when they were married and ready. 'Someday...I will be back...she's right. It will be for the right reasons.' He thought. Then pulled her into a steamy kiss.
