My heart was thundering, and my palms were sweaty. What was I thinking? Alice would never want to kiss me. I was just a friend. Always have been and always will be.
She floated gracefully down the stairs. Her smile lighting up the room brighter then the Christmas lights Esme had us hang up earlier. Slowly I followed her from the opposite side of the wall as I stumbled and tripped over party goers.
Finally we both got under the mistletoe nearly knocking her over in my haste to get there. She pulled me down our lips touching, creating perfection.
