A Random Proposal
Neji Hyuuga was in his room laying down when there was a knock on his door.
"Come in." he called
Hiashi walked into the room and sat on the chair next to his nephews head.
"Neji there is a very important matter that I wish to discuss with you." he said.
"What is it Uncle?" asked Neji.
"I wish to know whether you like guys or girls." said Hiashi.
"I like guys." said Neji with just a little nervouseness in his voice.
"That is all I wanted to know. Someone wishes to talk to you so I'll send them in in a minute." said Hiashi.
He smiled at his nephew then placed a hand on his head ruffling his hair like he always did. Neji smiled at his uncle and didn't notice the tingling in his forehead that signaled the curse was being removed.
Then Hiashi left the room. A few minutes later there was a knock on the door again.
"Come in." Neji called out.
Shikamaru Nara walked in looking a little nervous which was unusual for the lazy genius.
Neji sat up and looked at the genius in suprise.
"Hey Shikamaru whats up?" asked Neji.
"Umm I just came by to ask you something." said Shikamaru nervously.
Neji tilted his head to the side curiously.
"What?" he asked.
"I love you Neji Hyuuga. Will you marry me?" Shikamaru asked fear and love warring in his sincere dark eyes.
Neji was shocked. His crush had just told him that he loved him and asked him to marry him.
"Are you serious?" he asked.
"Yes. I love you and I really want to marry you Neji." said Shikamaru.
Neji got up and threw his arms around Shikamaru.
"I love you too Shikamaru. Yes I'll marry you but we have to get my uncles blessing first." Neji said.
Shikamaru bent his head and kissed Neji.
"I already asked for his blessing and he gave it." said Shikamaru.
Neji smiled but it slipped when Shikamaru fingered his headband that covered the curse mark.
"Please don't." he whispered.
"Why not?" Shika asked.
"Because of the curse mark. I could be killed by the main clan at anytime." said Neji.
Shikamaru kissed him using the distraction to take off the headband. When Neji felt it come untied he gasped and pushed Shika away. tears were pooling in his eyes.
"Neji there is no mark." said Shikamaru.
Neji ran into the bathroom and looked into the mirror seeing that indeed the mark was not there. He ran back in and hugged Shikamaru.
"Uncle Hiashi must have taken it off when he came by earlier. Now they can't kill me." said Neji.
He was smiling as he kissed his new fiance.
A few months later the two were married and they lived happily ever after.
