After watching Once Upon A Time, I got this idea. I thought it would be cool to do it as Ranger's Apprentice characters. Please R&R!
Horace looked lovingly upon his wife, Evanlyn.
"You may now kiss the bride." Horace was oblivious to the words. Evanlyn pinched Horace's hand, gaining his attention, and without further urging, kissed him. The crowd of people began to cheer.
"What a lovely couple!" A voice spat. Horace studied the newcomer with confusion.
"Come on Horace, you don't remember me?"
"But I thought you were…"
"Dead? Perhaps you might want to quit thinking, because it really isn't getting you anywhere."
"What do you want?"
"Want? Oh, I don't want anything. As a matter of fact, I have come to give you a gift!"
"We want nothing from you."
"I have come to give you this day of happiness."
"What?"
"I am giving you this day of happiness. Enjoy it while you can, because it won't last long." The speaker turned and left, vanishing into the air.
"Horace, who was that?" Evanlyn asked. She had a sinking feeling of dread in her as the vulture like person disappeared in a swirl of black smoke.
"No one of any importance," Horace replied.
"He just threatened us."
"Don't worry about it, for now." The paused crowd was watching Horace. He noticed them all staring at him.
"Let the feast begin!" He called. All of the Lords and Ladies gathered moved on to the feast, eating, drinking, and talking about what the mysterious man could have meant.
Will ghosted threw the crowd towards his best friend.
"What was that all about?"
"We need to talk about it later. Morgarath has come for his revenge."
