Just a short one shot.

He had never seen anything like her. A female with golden hair and pale skin. She was no doubt the strangest creature he had ever seen and yet he couldn't take his eyes off her. He couldn't understand what he was feeling. He wanted to smell her. Touch her. And something more. He wanted to claim this strange female as his. Would that be possible?

He had seen how the males of his family courted the females they wanted to claim, but he wasn't sure if he would have enough courage to do that. First of all, this female was with the enemy of his family. The vile creatures that hunted everyone else and killed for sport. His mother had taught him to stay as far away from these creatures as he could.

Yet he had often been curious and observed these creatures. Was the female one of them? Was she his enemy? He knew that he couldn't take her to his family, they would never approve her. What could he do then? The female was with few younglings; they were outside of the village.

"Alright, I will count to 20. Everyone hide!"

He looked at her curiously as she leaned against a tree and covered her eyes with her hands.

"One, two, three…"

All the younglings ran away. He couldn't understand what they were doing, but he saw a chance to approach the female.

"…seven, eight, nine, ten…"

He moved silently and almost managed to touch her hair when she suddenly lowered her hands and gasped. Quickly she turned around, but he was already out of sight.

"Who is there?"

He couldn't understand her, but he knew that the sounds she was making, words, were a form of communication. The vile creatures communicated with these sounds.

"Hello?"

The female looked around; he could tell that she was nervous. He didn't move, although he really wanted to. He wanted to go to her and take her with him. To claim her as his. Why didn't he do that? He couldn't be afraid; he had faced all the beasts of the jungle. He couldn't be afraid of a petite female. The whole thought was absurd. He was a strong male, he should act like one.

"Hello?"

He didn't do anything to stop her when she finally left. Following her to the village wasn't an option. He jumped down and saw that she had left something behind. A small piece of cloth. Carefully he picked it up and touched it with his fingers. It felt soft. He imagined that she would feel soft as well. All the new things he was feeling were foreign to him, but he knew that he needed to see her again. He needed to find a way to make her his.
