"Okay Blondie, tell me what happened?" Speedy asks the newest member of the Titan East family, as they are sitting in an x-ray room waiting for the doctor to return.
"You remember how you guys, and Titans West, wanted me to attend at least a year of Steel City Community Collage," Speedy nods. "Well there are a bunch of losers that have nothing better to be than a bunch of prevs!" Eliott snaps.
"So you hit one? And may have fractured your thumb?"
"Yes and yes."
"And you know he's going to be super p'od when he finds out?"
"Yes."
"Just checking."
Then door opens and the doctor walks in, "Well Miss. Ross your thumb isn't fractured, but it is severally jammed, so you will have to wear this for a week." The doctor informs them, holding up a tiny thumb brace.
A Week Later…
Eliott is sitting at her desk as her communicator starts to ring.
"Ellie here." She says into it.
"It's Roy, come down to the training room."
"On my way down."
"Ok Speedy what do yo…" The blue eyed girl stopped and looked around, he had drug out all of the punching bags and equipment.
"Over here." He yells for her, motioning her to come to the biggest punching bag.
"What is all this?" She asks him.
"You could have broken your thumb when you punched that guy. So since someone has to do it, I'm gonna teach you how to correctly punch someone." The red hair archer tells her.
"Umm…Ok?"
"Show me how you hit him." As Eliott balls her left hand into a fist, he stops her. "Wrong, that was your mistake. See how your thumb is tucked into your fist, you want it on the outside. Like this." He gives her an example. "Now try it again."
A Few Weeks Later…
Speedy is sitting at a work bench in his room as the phone begins to ring.
After a moment he answers, "Hello?"
"Hello, is his Roy Harper?" A middle aged man asks.
"Yes."
"Hello this is Principal Smith of Steel City Community Collage; I'm calling about Eliott she seems to have gotten into a bit of trouble."
"How much trouble?" Speedy sakes the principal as he grabs his car keys and gets ready to leave
"She broke a fellow male student's nose."
"I'm on my way." Speedy says proudly as he hangs up the phone and heads out the door.
