Summary: Killian and the family cat at 2am in the morning.
Words: 321
((((A/N: This idea was born while attempting to nap before going out later in the night and my cat Marlin *cough Lucifer cough* wouldn't let me.
I actually plan on doing short little snippets here and there for this (it won't be regular updates or anything, just spar of the moment ideas that come to me throughout the day, so i'm not pressured to update haha). So expect to see more of Orion with Emma, Killian, Henry, and everyone elseā¦
I have part 2 and 3 posted on Tumblr: black-wolf066 for those intersted. If this gets good reception on here, i'll post the rest of them, but for now here's snippet 1.)))))
Snippet 1: Hello Beastie
The loud rumble by his ear awoke Killian from a sound sleep. With a groan, he rolled onto the other side of the mattress, Emma's side currently cold and empty with it being her turn for night-shift at the station.
The weight on the bed shifted and the rumble returned.
With a sigh of defeat, he opened his eyes to the semi-dark room; his vision blurry as he blinked several times to clear it. When it did, the furry face of their latest addition to the family stared back.
"Hello, beastie." He murmured, his voice raspy as he shifted his hand to shoo the feline away. "Not time to feed you yet, go back to sleep."
The purring only grew louder the more he tried to push the cat away. With a groan, he rolled back onto his side of the bed and pulled the covers over his head. The mattress didn't shift this time, the damnable cat not at all happy to be ignored and showing his displeasure by walking all over him.
"Orion, don't make me kick you out of the room."
He felt crazy for talking to him, but he swore on most days that Orion could understand more than any of them ever thought possible. And with it being two in the morning, Killian only hoped this was one of those times.
The paw digging at the blanket to remove it from his face told him otherwise.
Peeking out and up at Orion perched on his chest, his blue eyes met orange-green.
"Orion, go away." He was about ready to make good on his threat when the paw came up to gently bat at his nose.
Mew, Orion chirped happily and ducked to headbutt his forehead.
"Fine, but if I get in trouble for overfeeding you, I'm taking you down with me, mate."
One day he would stop giving in to the whims of this damn feline.
