They meet again on a summer evening at a cafe, the same cafe they first met 6 years ago. This time they meet each other, both more wise and jaded.

Sitting across each other they could only stare, taking in all the changes. The new hairstyle she has adapted to, the faint worry lines he has gotten over the stress of the business. No words were spoken until he finally opened his mouth.

"yeah I saw him"

Shock on her face as he spoke. His voice still soft and holding that regal tone.

She smiled softly,

"I told you" She pulled out a picture from her purse. "He's a total darling, He runs around so much he drives me nuts"

But he isn't one to beat around the bush getting straight to what he wanted to say those many years ago.

"I didn't want to hurt you"

She stares at him, the anger swirling in her eyes, she looks at him searching for lies. She sees none, her heart once again feeling like it was sinking so far she wont be able to get it again.

"Why?" She asks, like she should've done 6 years ago

He reaches over wanting to feel her hands again, to feel the withered hands of a mother and a lost lover.

" Because I was stupid, I couldn't do anything, because for some reason that day my father meant more to me than you. I was selfish and unable to do anything to help myself. When I me you I was already engaged to that woman" He speaks, this is the most he has spoken in a while. Even his wife hasn't heard him speak this much.

But he continues this time with a soft broken whisper,

"You look happy"

"I'm happy". Giving him a small smile, the same small smile that made him fall for her. That same smile that tore apart his world.

But he was a man now, he cant take back things selfishly. He has that company he had always dreamed of, a beautiful wife who listens to his beck and call, a son who is a carbon copy of him. But he sometimes still dreams he can have her by his side instead.

He asks her one last question

"Do you love anyone now"

She lets out a deep breathe, still smiling softly, she nods her head .She stands up and reaches over to give him a goodbye hug, like friends do. He returns that hug, only hoping that it would last forever.

She walks out the cafe with a smile but the tears wont stop running down her face unspoken words in the air.

"It's you."
