On one knee, the hero wipes sweat from his face. Stripped of powers and out of options, looked around for a solution.
"I have no choice," the hero yelled at Matt. "I am ending this today."
"Noooo!" Matt yelled in a high pitched squeal. "Nyteblade can be... rewritten. I can fix him."
"Say hello to the cows!" the hero yelled. "Kinzie! I need an abduct-o-matic, now!"
"Done," Kinzie replied throughout the world.
The hero propped one knee up with the abduct-o-matic poised over his should.
"Matt," the hero yelled. "Keep him occupied, I don't care how."
Matt looked at the hero and shrugged. "Sounds like a plan to me," he said with a grin. Matt ran toward Nyte Blayde and grabbed him in a bear hug. "I'm sorry, but this needs to be done."
The hero pulled the trigger on the abduct-o-matic as Matt planted a passionate kiss on Nyte Blayde. A bright beam from the sky surrounded the pair as they continued their passionate kiss. After a moment of calm, the two floated into the sky. Within moments they were not to be seen.
The hero fell back on his ass and sprawled across the cement. "Screw bromances," he said. "Kinzie, if this is a virtual world, where did those two go?"
"According to my sensors, any digital content is automatically ejected from the RAM," Kinzie's voice echoed throughout the virtual world. "While users would remain in the world; however, my records do not indicate any special circumstances affecting users."
In the distance, a faint scream could be heard. The hero sat up looking into the sky for a sign of what was to come. Suddenly Matt fell on top of the hero with a firm kiss on the lips.
"Nyte Blayde," Matt said faintly. "Will... be... reborn." Matt collapsed. He lay unconscious in the hero's arms with his head tucked beside the hero's neck.
"That's nice and all, but get off me." the hero pushed Matt's unconscious body off him.
