Sometimes, when I look at Merlin and Hunith, or Merlin and Gaius, I can't help but feel jealous. I grew up without a mother and seeing Merlin..well, I suppose I did grow up with a father and he didn't. That probably explains why he likes hugs and I like fighting. But sometimes it just makes me want my mother. To hold me when I'm sad, feel her warm embrace on cold nights. Maybe, if she had lived, my father wouldn't have been so cold. I would do anything for the slightest memory of her. I suppose know, having Gwen as a wife and Merlin as my best friend, even if he is an idiot, warms my heart and makes me whole. My knights my brothers, Gaius my other father and role model, or even mother in some way. Someone who is always there for me, listens to me and believes me, even when my father does not. Sometimes, when I look at Merlin and Hunith, or Merlin and Gaius, I can't help but feel jealous. He may be just a servant, but he has a bigger world than I'll ever have when it comes to family.
