First Encounter
Eugene is in love. Of this he is certain. He knows it the minute he first lays eyes on her. He has never seen anything more beautiful. She is so small, she is so delicate, her weight is so scant that he fears he might break her. He is inexperienced with women her age and terrified of being alone with her.
There is so much she will learn, so many new things she will discover. He is so overwhelmed by her presence, he finds himself shaking.
She cries in his arms and he whispers soothing words of undying love and religious devotion. He promises her that he will become the man she needs him to be.
She is not what he had expected, yet he could not be more pleased to make her acquaintance. He immediately begins revising his plans. Perhaps he'll teach her to dance instead of taking her fishing.
While it is too early to tell if her eyes will be green or warm amber, he already knows that he wants to see the world through them.
Eugene is in love. Of this he is certain. They've only just met but his love to her he professes.
AN 1: This is my first foray into family fluff. I'd love to hear what you think.
AN 2: In case you were wondering, this is the baby I had in mind when I wrote Lineage (If you haven't read Lineage, please do. It was a labor of love and it won't take up too much of your time).
