One day, a girl with one purple eye and one pink eye was walking down the street. In passing, she saw a raven haired boy. The girl thought he was so hot!
"Hi!" She said shyly, "I'm Rose. What's your name?"
"I'm L, but my real name is Lawliet. I never tell anyone my real name, but I feel compelled to tell you," He replied.
Rose smiled. "I already knew that, I saw your name above your head because I have the Shinigami eyes. I already know who is Kira, but..but I can't tell you." She blinked back tears.
L and Rose started to walk down the street together. L suddenly reached for her hand, which made Rose blush. They stopped in front of a candy store.
"Oh my god, we have to go in here!" Rose cried happily, dragging L into the store.
"Wow, you love sweets to! So do I!" L exclaimed, following her into the store.
They chose a variety of candy and sat down to eat it together. They kept glancing up at each other, blushing when they meant one another's eye. L noticed the bracelet on Rose's wrist. "That's a nice bracelet, where did you get it."
"My mother gave it to me before she died, and my father abused and raped me until Kira killed him," Tears were streaming down Rose's cheeks. "That's why I couldn't tell you who Kira was..I'm so sorry!" She sobbed.
L got up and sat down beside her and put his arms around her, holding her close. "I'm so sorry, Rose. I want you to know that I would never do anything like that to you. I will always protect you. I..I love you, Rose. I always have, even though we've known each other for five minutes, I've never met anyone like you before."
Rose looked up at L and smiled through her tears. "I..I love you to, L."
